Yeah Roscoe would've been a good option 2 years ago but now he's turning rather poor and makes quite a lot of errors nowadays.

I'll go for Paston.

Three for me, and two for them.

So do you think he is good enough to return nowadays?

He's retired from the National side but on his game he's still one of the best shot stoppers in the country, possibly the best.  You just have to accept he's a couple of cucumber sandwiches short of a picnic with it.

Get to TW vs Waitakere this summer and see him in action.

well based on what you say i think i probably should! i remember him for the the Kingz and he played second fiddle to Roscoe but he did look very capable, maybe well see him again, would be welcome change for James Bannatyne for me anyways

FrankieMac.

I'm pretty sure Nicholson played one game and one game only for the Kingz, right Wodger ?  Would have been hard for him to be second fiddle to one match.

Batty, Nutting, Duke, Coehlo, Marsh, Theoklitos, Nutting.  Occassional Tamati Willaims, Scott Bishop, Bannatyne, Rossco, one more I can't remember.

hahaha yeah, man Roscoe and Utting are the leaders on the poll! so much for Loyal Phoenix supporters! l

THis is a very weird poll.  The best keeper we've had play for a pro team in NZ is Theo by a country mile followed by brain melt Utting.

The best keeper based in Australasia is bolton easily.

As for Banatyne and Rosco both useless.

Bolton really is THE man, followed by Utting in terms of best 'out-n-out goal stoppers', i think Jason Batty was the best for NZ , but you really cant be sure with all the new guys coming through.

I can't believe Brad Jones isn't on here. Australian Peter Enckleman maybe? Saw Utting play for Gisbourne this year he looks a bit hefty now. Even got Subbed when they went up by two.

Is Enckleman an Aussie? The one who played in the Premier League (he may even still play there).

On the ever reliable Wikipedia he is Finnish. I bet Melberg still regrets the throw in. He is at Blackburn on the bench in there game today.

Well he can't even take goal kicks so there must be a groin injury there aswel.

I'm kinda purturbed that Hayden Englefield isn't on the list. For a short guy he puts himself about.
On his day he'd make Paston look like an amateur...but then I do recall watching Paston a lot when he was in his howler stage of his career. I think Mark has learned a few things since his Napier days. I'll have to vote for Schwartzer looking at that list.

How can you not vote for the only Premier League keeper on the list. If Bolton is that good, why play A-League. Theoklitoris is good but Schwartzer is a step above them all.
Utting was superb in his day but his booze and fags let him down eventually. Sad really.
Paston and Moss are the best current NZ keepers, hence they're at the 'Nix.

Bro, he along with Bolton have played more A-League games individually then all the other players on the list combined (I think).

utting was better than all of them at his best, but i'd go for vukovic now, even though like toffeeman says, he's only stopping a-league shots

This MUST be a piss take. Schwarzer and AC Milan's Kalac (who doesn't even make this list somehow) and then the rest are barely fit to lace the boots of these two.
Honestly, Utting giving Schwarzer a run for his money - good grief...

well the fever crowd seem to think Utting is pretty damn good, infact as of now he is only 2 votes behind Schwarzer
