I agree,  Bahrain would have been better off playing against 'Straya or a European team of similar stature to NZ, some one like Bosnia, or Slovakia etc

Togo look very, very poor (from the 5mins of highlights I just saw), but Bahrain looked comfortable.  Hopefully this injury to the captain will plague him until november 15.

Wow Togo are ranked 80th in FIFA rankings. They are ranked higher then us so its not one to take lightly... 5min highlights isnt enough to judge how poor they played. Maybe Bahrain just stepped up a gear.darkhorse2009-11-08 10:18:10

Bosnia would kill the AWs, Slovakia would beat us quite comfortably too.
Suspect a full Togo side is better than us as well (Adebayor v Nelsen), but since this was a frindly and they probably didn't have their European players and probably didn't particularly care makes this result fairly irrelevant.

its irrelivant, friendlies are supposed to be training sessions, for teams to try out new formations/players etc

NZ could beat fiji 10-0 or loose 10-0 it wouldnt MATTER at all....BTW bosnia and slovakia are strong this year and may qualify for the cup arent they in a playoffs respectivey

Bahrain 5 - 1 Togo.    Just the false sense of security we wanted them to have... right?

Bahrain B team vs Togo C/D team as I understand. So don't look much into this score.

Bahrain A team minus afew of there european club players. The same with Togo so its something to keep mindfull of..cos Bahrain are still the favorites to win. I hope they don't come Nov14

Yeah its not worth thinking about tbh. None of those goals were really all that spectacular, pretty poor defending. Togo's was probably the best lol.

Adebayor is Togo. I'm sure they have a couple of other Europeans but he is the heart and soul of their team. Hope Paston watched that penalty though
