Hey just a note that we've just managed this evening to get a big screen so we can broadcast the game live at Queens Wharf on Saturday night - obviously for the punters who left it too late to get their tickets.
cheers

I won't be there (got a ticket for the stadium) but that's some top work by you, your fellow council members and everyone else involved. I really must find a job in your fine city.
Nice one mate.

Wellington is going to rock this Saturday night.
Oh what a night
back in November '09
Doesn't quite sound the same but the effect might be. Prime just gave the game a BIG mention on their sports news at 5:30pm.

Finding a Car park could be a headache. Trains and buses are going to be packed. Taxis better be prepared. Working girls will be hoping for a positive result too!

Good idea, keep the crowd pumped and attending the various bars and resturants in a positive move.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Lonegunmen - I'm not sure saying "Working girls will be hoping for a positive result too!" implies what you want it to

Good work WCC - I knew I paid my rates for a good reason.
That goes some way towards countering not having more all weather pitches.

Well done.

Personally I think the Auckland Regional Council should have been brought in to run things!!
Just kidding you all.
The way this is taking off is awesome. I heard on the radio that if the lads win, they'll be invited to the Xmas parade. Some might have a serious hangover me thinks.

Ricki as Santa and the players as his elves. That would be a great parade - we'd be singing as they pass by (need to work on a suitable carol).
