Anyone have coverage of Zullo's tackle to break his leg??

yeah I saw it live yesterday but was having a few drink so kinda forgot about it. terrible challenge. these things happen in football, but that was deserving of a red card and 3-4 weeks on the grand stands

It wasn't a great tackle but I've seen alot worse this year get only a yellow.

Brockie wasn't going to the world cup anyway.

still, I feel for him. He might not be the best player we have, but to leave NZ and try to make a name for himself in aussie deserves some credit. Also, he had been doing OK in the last month or so and I think I'd rather Ricky have the option to take him or not than not having it, for the good of the AW's and of Brockie's.

He was improving his chances as he was starting to be one of Fury's better players.

It doesn't look deliberate.
But its devastating for Brockie.

You can't be sure about that unless you are Ricki.

Three for me, and two for them.

He was actually starting to look quite good. Is a real shame.

I think that as the season went on he got better, and I reckon he WAS in with a chance for SA.

I wonder how this will affect his chance s for a new contract aswell??

That will be equally gutting, losing a possible wc spot, and then losing your professional status.

it was a crual tackle from behind, he would hve been sent-of if it hadnt happened in the first minutes of the game. It's tough for Brockie who has been looking better.

Agree with the above comments - Brockie's form has been really good recently. I was enjoying watching him improve game by game. He gets through a power of work and it surprised me how often he would track back and defend. He was attracting a lot of smarmy critical comments from Slater and co early in the season which have since been replaced by praise for his performances.

Hopefully the break will mend fairly quickly and he'll back next season in the A League.

I've watched the last couple of game and to be honest I disagree. Sentimentalism aside, he wasn't playing that good. Tough break for the guy and its a sh*t situation but he wasn't going because he isn't good enough and wasn't playing good enough for the Fury.

Being on of their standouts is "not (playing) good enough for the fury"?

Yeah, I'm not sure Ian Ferguson would agree with you JF. Was one of the best Fury players against us last week, scored a goal the week before against CCM, had a standout match in the win against Melb and helped set up a goal for Daal the week before that against the Jets. Not too shabby.

I feel for the lad, he had been in brilliant form for the Fury, put Melbourne to the sword

Gutted for him, I had a feeling that he would have taken the place of someone like Mulligan in the squad.

I don't think that he would have played a large part in the campaign whether he was picked or not, but that being said, you have to feel for anyone who has their dream ripped away from them like that.

I agree, but I guess everyone sees things in a different way?
