The NZ national team needs a national stadium. most countries play all their home internationals at one ground. It doesnt neeed to be big but should be a ground that has atmosphere and has a meaning as the home of NZ Football. In Auckland possibly but NZ Football doesnt have the money

And failing that the crowds are Wellington.

But the best footballing ground in NZ is easily Waikato Stadium.

I presume you made this comment in reference to the old Newmarket Park Ground in AKL which I remember going to with my dad when he was an Auckland FA ref in the early 80s.
Supporter world's best and worst football teams: Waikato/WaiBop, Kingz, Knights, Phoenix, The Argyle, The Whites & the All Whites

No, i made the comment because thats what NZF call it, their offices are based there.

How could you say the crowds are failing there? How many did Wgtn get to the last interenational played here?

Yeah I'm (scarily) with Nightz on this one.

The one thing New Zealand doesn't need is more small/medium stadia to host football matches.  There are loads of them.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

20k Soccer specific in Wellington though... owned by the Phoenix so all concessions go to the club... no Oval related gaps between the pitch and stands... fantastic... big games can be moved to Westpac.

Your job Smith, I want it done for next season.

How's my driving? - Whine here

I love the brand new Stadia being built in the States for the MLS team. They are all rectangular and generally seat 15,000 - 25,000.
The Real Salt Lake ground and The crew ground look awesome on the TV.
It would be good and having a flash as new home ground for the Phoenix and All whites that gets filled for every game would be nice and brilliant atmosphere.

BUT whos going to pay 80-100 million when we already have other stadiums?

1. Karori park clubrooms are a world-class licensed facility.

2. Don't know what you're talking about.

What about the new stadium in Dunedin? Big call to take the game so far south but they are building a multi-purpose stadium (cricket is not included) and the crowd is going to be close to the action. It is also covered so no chance of the game ever being called off. Radical I know for North islanders......

Get serious, that was a game no-one even knew was on in Wgtn because the promotion of it by the NZFC was non-existent.
