Cameron Lindsay, 15 year old from Northcote on the North Shore has signed with Blackburn Rovers youth team.  Watch this space for a future Kiwi footie talent.

It was in the Blackburn thread under English football from memory and somewhere else.

Just goes to show what a powerful thing the Nike Cup can be.  Lindsay was spotted playing in it for Central.

Also reinforced the view that Kiwi kids are good enough if we can get them in the shop window.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Kapiti tournment is hardly ralevant as it is a different age group. Nike Cup was 15th grade and Kapiti tourny was 16th hence they were playing against older kids.

Who has seen him play? What are his strengths? Ask around thanks.
This is what love about our game right now, the world is opening up and we are getting in there.

he is only 15. who knows how he is going to develop as a player. Those are acadamies are pretty competitive. Most never make it into the top flight leagues.

Good on him for getting this far, I wish him all the best. it is great for nz football when there is youngsters like him around.

but we will probably need to hold this conversation for at least another 5 years, to see what happens

If we build it, they will come...
