Supposedly has left Fulham (no longer on their website reserves team sheet) and is trialling at Nottingham Forest . ..  .  Am unalbe to find out any progress and he doesn't seem to have participated in any preseason friendly games.

Anyone know where this lad is now?

Could he be a Marquee player at the Nix or a guest?

he'd be in demand elsewhere......he'll end up in the championship, somewhere near the top end IMO

it'd be great to see him with us, but im a realist....then again, Shrewsbury are looking for a new player or two.....

I hope he stays in England somewhere.

He just needs to get some game time. Even if is in the English Championship division.

If it was him at Forest he only played 61 mins in a 1-0 loss to Chesterfield on the 21/07/07 and no game time since.

He is a decent player, I am hope he gets something sorted.

Originally there were two "Should come to Notts County" back to back - mods must have fixed. PROAK2007-08-08 22:38:24

If he does sign for Sc**thorpe it will be interesting to see how much game time he will get. It's a pretty good level to launch his career from I reckon. Good luck to the guy...

No deals for trialists
By Luke Thornhill
Wednesday 8th August 2007

United will not be offering contracts to trialist Chris James or Lewis Marr, but manager Nigel Adkins is in talks with Alex Mowfor.

James and Marr both played against Armthorpe on Tuesday night, but did not do enough to merit longer stays at the club.

New Zealand international James scored in the game, but Adkins feels he is not strong enough for first-team football.

"Unfortunately I think he's a little bit lightweight," Adkins told BBC Radio Humberside.

"He's done alright, but physically he needs a bit more about him."

Marr is a free agent having been released by Newcastle, but is not likely to be offered a contract.

Cameroon U-22 international Mowfor impressed in pre-season friendlies against Chesterfield and Lincoln, but suffered an ankle injury against the Imps.

He is currently in France receiving treatment on the injury, but it is not as bad as first feared and Adkins expects him to return to North Lincolnshire.

"We are in discussions about bringing him back to the club," added Adkins.

"He's ahead of the average 19-year-old, he's got a bit of flair about him, I'd like to bring him here but there are a lot of discussions ahead."

Not strong enough to play week in week out for Sc**thorpe, but has made an impression at International level...I suppose he isn't a huge guy but there are plenty of small footballers out there. Oh well good luck to him finding another club.

He is small in stature. The coach could have seen that before he gave him a trial.
He is a work horse though, fit as a fiddle and has a great passing game and gets goals.
He just needs to be given a chance. Dave Mulligan isn't exactly the biggest player around and he is a defender.

All the best to James. Just needs to move on to another trial if he can get one somewhere else.

If we build it, they will come...

he'll get a trial or two...worst case scenario is he ends up in FL2 and works his way up.
