Highlights the perils of writing about a sport you have absolutely no understanding of. Me, I'm thinking of becoming a r*gby journalist.

Was thinking about which annoys me more, Laws continual sneering and sniping about football, or Rattue desperately backtracking and trying to clamber onto the bandwagon. On reflection, probably Rattue.
 
Although Laws is a complete twat, at least he is making no pretence about his lack of knowledge about football and has at least been consistently showing his contempt for a sport he knows bugger all about.

Interesting reading comparing that linked entry with Rattue's latest entry. On reflection, I think I find Laws more annoying. Rattue has jumped on the bandwagon, but it's our bandwagon and I'd rather have people apparently learning the error of their ways and coming on board. Laws will never admit he's wrong even when he knows he's talking bollocks - a behavioural pattern he seems to apply to everything.

Yep, with you on this.
 
That latest by Rattue is actually a decent bit of journalism in that he's obvioulsy gone looking for player histories.
 
The interesting thing is that Thompson and Rattue have stopped being negative pr!cks and are appreciating the occasion and what the team has done in order to get to here.  And there's even a bit of humour and banter (Rattue's ref to ranking of sports achievements and also ups to Gourdie).  Amazing.
 
Mayor Lols on the other hand is a tw@t and has hubris in cess-pit loads.

Lawls needs to be added to the people we'd like to see gorged etc list in off topic.

I hope people are now ringing his show and telling him how much retarded his opinion is

Yep totally agree ,you only  have to read his oh so provocative (yawn) columns in the Sunday Star Times to understand where the attention seeking wee wet fart is coming from!
