I have been speaking to James Dean and Feverish about possibly organising some tours to see the All Whites play at the Confederations Cup in June of this year. Games are as follows:

14th June NZ vs Spain (Rustenburg)

17th June NZ vs Self Freeca (Rustenburg)

20th June NZ vs Iraq (J'Berg)

Please take this poll seriously and let us know if you are keen to come along on a tour that we organise, and if interest is high we will see what we can do.

If you are keen, jot down some of your thoughts on where you would like to stay, and what you would like to do. This is a great opportunity to have a practice run for us following the AW's at the main event next year.

On eoption is to stay in Sun City which is a tourist place in the middle of the country with casino, game parks, hotels etc etc and fairly near to Rustenberg

To clarify, these are in South Africa, right?

How safe is it there for tourists these days?

Which city would you fly to from NZ?

Are these venues going to be used for the world cup?

Yes Sth Africa

The majority of the country is perfectly fine, mainly it is about being smart as like many cities Jo'burg can be dangerous

I think Jo'burg unless you are planning on travelling beforehand

Yes, this is a dry run for the WC so all are WC venues

I think that everyone in SA is aware that no gangsta mo'fos should be messing with the Fever-Feve. That is why it is safer to go with the organised tour than on your own.

Hmm, I don't think I could manage both the WC qualifier and these games too.

Which one to choose?

WC qualifier we have more chance of winning ... but could be anywhere in Asia - when will we know where?

The last round of AFC is on June 17. Then two asian team playoff after that. Then our playoff. ATM the tables are...

I think June is the end of the two groups, after that is the playoff, June/July I think

Wikipedia says the two Asian team is down for 10th and 14th of October. With our playoff on the 14th and 21st of November.

So it's likely to be Bahrain, Iran or Qatar.

Hmm, I would be more interested in South Africa, even if we are more likely to lose!

The cheapest flights to stay there for a week from NZ are around $NZ2200.

Haven't been able to find anywhere to stay. Looks like it might cost around $NZ3000, which is a fair bit ... but still ...

In terms of other stuff to do while there, seeing some of the wild animals would be good.

I guess the other point is that if we do qualify for the World Cup, I'd rather go to that than the Confeds cup ...

I could be keen to travel from London as it could work out a cheaper option then the heading off to Asia for the playoff.

BUT only if there are others in the UK weighing up heading to SA.

Hi guys esp. ppl living in the UK,

Etihad have ï¿½260 return flights to Joberg from London during the confeds cup and I'm thinking of buying a seat and heading over within the next 24-48 hours.

How many other white noize/yellow fever crew are planning on SA?

still an outside chance, although it depends on the wife getting a job in the next few days, and my work letting me out.
