Nonetheless the advice is still good - aisle side seat so that HRH can nip off to get a pie and chips at half time quickly.

As long as that's a halal pie and chips cooked in properly Islamic fat. It will be interesting to see whether there will be special food made available for Muslim fans. Nando's is halal so perhaps they'll be selling chicken burgers for $20 a pop.

Could be quite a tough ask, I remember at the Galaxy game people just sitting there as the Fever crew were a bit more scattered and it was quite tough and frustrating getting people in the spirit.

Hopefully people will be a bit less reserved and let loose for the boys.

Hopefully having the zone only sold through here and not on general sale should mean people of a like mind are all in the same spot.

On the Stadium picture, showing all the different sections of seats. The WN Zone is Two isles. Have both of them been sold?

As News says we are much more tightly grouped for this one.

And the game is about football, not focused an inhabitant of women's magazine front covers

Yeah, radiosport saying only 4k left.

Which should panic the slackers into action.

As good as sold out with 4 weeks to go. Might raise a few eyebrows...

Then two weeks to convince them about the extra seating... and those sold in 48 hours.

Then it's a big screen somewhere for all those who missed out and we'll have the greatest weekend NZ football has ever seen,

It's definitely going to be the biggest crowd ever at a football match in NZ.

We're already past the capacity of North Harbour Stadium which totally vindicates the decision to come to Wellington, the ticket prices etc.

Oh f**k it, let's just say "well done NZF" for once!

What was the official attendance at the Galaxy game? It was over 30,000 wasn't it?

Wonder how much different this crowd number will be.

About 31,000, definitely not sold out. This will be.

It said in the paper this morning. that 25 thousand had been sold, and there was only 4-5 thousand left to sell. That is missing a few isn't it?

And aparently it costs $25 a seat to put in the extra seats. Which would not be cost effective at just $39.

Radio Sport tonight said 28, 4k to go.

I'd like to know how it's not cost effective.  Even if it balances, surely the bigger crowd and potential merchandise and the news and the hype would make it viable.

Yes, Marius has convinced me.

yeah, as long as its not a loss-making exercise, it would be brilliant to open up the temp seats and go for the full noise. awesome statement, more people, more noise etc etc. nothing lost either.

i really cant imagine the security issue is a big deal.

if we sell out the 35k within next two weeks, then i think there is no question we will sell another 4k in the two weeks leading up to the game. there will be a sh!t load of hype building up to the game.

trade offs re temprorary seats

plusses

cost/loss equation = worth the risk (for the hype)

hype = probable bonus, especially if they sell out

increase in the ' legitimate' intimidation factor =  if the 'johnny come latelys' get vocal/stand up etc

negatives

security risk = hard to assess - but HUGE consequences if it goes Pete Tong

I think it said 4-5000 available to the public. The rest could be corporates and sponsors.

just bought 2 more for the old man, could only get aisle2 at best, otherwise would've been in the away section (f**k that).

Was looking at a screen shot of the stadium seat bookings at Ticketek ..all that were left then (3pmish) were a few rows behind the goals at either end.... and that might include designated away crowd area too.   Top effort Wellington and NZ RedGed2009-10-16 00:05:47
