David Rayner & the 99 u17 World Cup team
Does anyone know what happened to David and co. He played for
the AWs once or twice and was playing league one football but came
back for the Knights with Plodder I think.
As to the rest of the boys what happened to them... Quite a
few of them turned pro at the time. I know players such as
Pierce are playing NZFC etc but some have completely
disappeared.

I think Gary Bridle lives in Wgtn now, was sure I walked past him a few months back. He was a good keeper for Hawkes Bay Reps back in the day. And im pretty sure Julius is still in the Air Force.

Cheers mate, played with Budgen. How good is Knowles
now? Also its a pity to see that Jones is coaching as I
thought he had a lot of promise.

Also speaking of Neil Jones was he involved in getting under
20 player Sam Jenkins a spot at the school. Hope not it
wouldn't have done his reputation any good as jenkins turned up in
the states and flew home only a couple of days later leaving the
school a player short with little or no explantation.
