Fresh of the press this morning.

Pelter has been ruled out of the Olympics with an injury.

Stu has decided to replace the center back with phoenix squad player draper.

Is this a good choice?

Nothing against Draper but in a positional sense is this a good idea?

We seem to have plenty of CB options without Pelter whereas we seem to be struggling to score goals in these warm-up games.  I reckon it's worth a lash.

Apparently he looked the goods in the warm up games.

Good to see him get across although i don't see him getting much game time. Atleast now these a little more hope that we wont see Messam play as Stu will realise he is a large frame and little else and go for Draper or someone else.

We look light on defenders especially if we make it through to the next rounds with Nelsen gone.

When I first saw Messam play several years ago I thought he was a young guy on the up. In the last year whenever Ive seen him I've been hugely disapointed. He looks like he wants to be a body builder and not a football player now.
I never really rated Draper either but Ive been impressed with him the last few games Ive seen him play, he has improved, possibly because of training full time. Good on him getting selected, I hope the lad does well.

A dog with a bone :)

I'd probably rather see Costa go to the Olympics, but all the best to Draper.

I think its just to save money on redoing the letters on their shirts, You only have to replace four letters....

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

perhaps its to do with the fact that Greg has been in the extended squad and has been training, travelling and playing with this group

Costa has not looked good on the big stage previously

And Draper has?
It doesnt really bother me caz Drappers all good and theyr good mates, however I jst dont understand NZ football never have never will caz selection is sht.
Costa has played more for phoenix and played well, he played well against galaxy, where Draper hasnt had ne effect. I hope he does very well however and all the best to him.

hes played more for phoenix? hes played what a game and a half? hardly proven - i can see why they would rather draper hes on form - costas back from what sydney - and aprently played like sh*t.

If you want people to continue to read your posts I suggest you write them properly. It's f**king annoying having to decipher what you mean.

Pavlos, you know the forum rules.  No text speak or you risk a banning.  Play the game.
