Assuming he could be persuaded he'll never play a world cup for the socceroos, when would Durante be able to play for the AWs?
 
I am thinking he could slot into that right back slot - he played there for Newcastle I think quite a bit and he has enough speed to do the job well.

He was a good NSL player, then missed the first year of the A-League after Nik Mrdja broke his leg.  A years recovery then he made his name in Newcastle's championship run before coming here.

Not sure he ever quite made the top echelon.

a couple of youth appearances but has never played in U23s or been involved in an Aussie national squad.

You would think that playing for NZ would be at the back of his mind.
