Paul Thurrock has been replaced by Paul Marineer as manager at Plymouth Argyle.

Hopefully this means more game time for the boy.

Although I understand at this stage he's only a temporary appointment Mariner would certainly be one to appreciate a decent centre-forward.

he has been playing every minute of every game last few weeks, so not sure if he's likely to be better or worse off with new manager. they are struggling so there will be changes and signings of some kind or other

Actually, Argyle have been slapped with a transfer ban over unpaid debts by the Football League, so are currently unable to sign any new players. Mariner and the club are confident this will be lifted by the January transfer window. See:
