Smithy - figure there should be some overlap in ticket buying - some might miss out, and others might not realise how much they want to go on the day. Can't hurt eh.

so purchase tickets you don't intend to use?

I'd intend to offer them to people who missed out or didn't apply in time...

DwerdnA, Gery & united99 - want me to put you all down for Germany v Ghana?  I have an application in, which I can extend to four tickets.  Which would make four anyway...

Hi Addicks - yep, that would be great - cheers!

Catorgory location for you info.  I'm thinking Category 2:  Slightly more expensive, but FIFA says there is more of a chance to be sucessful in the ballot.

Seats in category 1 are generally located alongside the pitch.
Seats in category 2 are generally located adjacent to category 1, in the corners.
Seats in category 3 are generally located adjacent to category 2 behind the goals or in the corners.

OKAY LISTEN UP!

You MUST get YOUR OWN tickets to the non-NZ games.

There is no group booking option. The most you can apply for is a group of four.

We can't do that for you and it is not included in the Tour cost.

For mine:

Ghana/Germany: yes
Spain/Honduras: yes

And Frankie Mac, Potters and I have a spare spot in our group of 4 if you want it. PM me.

I have tried - clear your inbox.

Will there only be three of us because Potter needs 2 seats?

Will go halves on the extra seat with you Frankie.

category 2 or 3 I'm not fussed.

addicks, so shall I cancel the application on my login? or shall I do the same too just in case you are not successful (hypothesis)

That's the question...  A few extra tickets could come in handy, it's up to you really.

Just wanting to confirm if the bus is definitely going to go to the Spain vs Honduras game?  I'd like to get tickets to this one if it is...anyone applied for tickets able to add me onto their booking?  Or if there are a few others who would like to go, I'm happy to organise an application.

if you are booking for others you need to provide their passport details. a bit of a niggle, but better to find out today than on Sunday!

I've applied for four tx to the Germany Ghana game.  Have PM'd you three for further details (whatever I couldn't get from your profiles!).

Keen for Spain Honduras if that's going to be a goer with the bus - any chance of confirming the bus schedule for games?

Buckle, I  see there is a box in the application process which asks you whether you'd be happy to accept a lower category ticket.  I'm thinking it is a no brainer to tick it.

I think that box is always there but I didn't see it this time I'll have to look at it again tonight. Anyone keen for those games I'll put your name down as well

Cheers for the details gents.  I got this from the WC Ticketing Office:

It is not possible to apply for tickets unless you know the names of your guests.  Therefore we would advise you wait until you have these details before applying.

Which is suitably vague, nothing about whether only that person can use them...  Probably best to have names at the least though.

That 'accept lower categories of seating' is on just about the last page.

Anyone else noticed it creates a completely new booking if you edit anything? Bit of an arse.

is everyone booking the max of 4?

what do you reckon the chances are of getting these?
Permalink Permalink
about 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
About 675,000 tickets were sold before this ticketing phase, which was 90%.  They had 500,000 ticket applications in the first 10 days of the phase.  It'll be tough I reckon.  I'm going for 4 for some, 2 for some later games, and higher categories for games I really want to go to.

probably be just trying to get myself and the mrs tickets, unless anyone wants to give me some details and vice versa.

gonna go for the ghana v OZ and Ghana Germany.

Is it me or do you reckon the OZ game wouldn't get that much attention from others outside of OZ support?

PM me with details if anyone wants to go for an extra chance.

will be booking this time tomorrow so if no answer then will just get the 2.

I'm tempted to go for a whole bunch more games now, in case I miss out.  Honestly have no idea how it will go...

stressful day tomorrow!!! didn't realise I needed to use my passport as a reference, stupid thing is getting renewed , gonna have to ring tomorrow and see if they can give me my new number. bloody hell

Just take your old one with you, and use it to pick up the tickets!  Can't see a problem with doing that.

As for your first question - god (and maybe Blatter) only knows.  they ask for all these 'guest' details, but if someone else tried to use the ticket, who konws what would happen.

By the way, any time you edit your request it issues a fully new ticket request - gets a bit annoying!

I've changed my tickets to category 2 as well, I have no one's passport details yet so can fit 3 here if keen.

I'm sure it's all good.

Hi Marius, I have just scored my tickets for all 3 of the NZ games and have booked my flights separately. I arrive in Jburg on 14 Jun at 7am. I am keen to hook up with you guys on the bus to these games and also stay at same hotels if that is possible.
Can you let me know if any of that is possible and if so the cost. If hotel not doable then I can arrange my own but will definitely still be interested in getting on the bus and travelling to the game with you lot if this is an option.

Cheers

Jason

ps - can get me on 027 585 6688 or 04 801 1054 if that is easier.

Jason,

Contact Wayne at Classic Travel: wayneclassictravel@paradise.net.nz

I believe the hotel and bus are full, but it's worth checking with Wayne and giving him your name in case anyone cancels.
