Whats to stop any touring Fijian football team (think O league) recruting  a couple of players who are currently or were previously in the Army.  NZ goverment does not let them in,  FIFA loses Paitence with New Zealand and proceeds to give points to Fiji or orders the match to be played in Fiji.

Lets say the 2009 Fijian elections are delayed a bit because they can't agree a new draft constitution, does that mean the Rugby World Cup would be taken off New Zealand?

the thing is, from what I gather, that the 1st leg will not be played in NZ anymore, anyway.
So the 2nd leg will be played in Fiji on Wed, and the replay of the 1st leg (the game which should have been played the other day) will be played on a neutral ground.

So, no game here in Aotearoa anyway, so the Fijians could bring the whole bloody army if they wanted to, cause the match will probably be played in Vanuatu or Solomon or whatever!

That's not official though, is it? I mean presumably if Fiji returned to democracy and the Goverment removed the sanctions than the game could be played here?

Of course, that doesn't look like a probable scenario, but I hope it hasn't been ruled out.

That wouldn't happen, coz apparently the All Blacks are more important than the sport itself *rolls eyes* at least that's what most egg chasers think...no wonder my love for the game goes no higher than Super 14

(Unless Argentina is involved )

Hmm, Aunty Helen doesn't like the draft of the new Fijian Constitution, maybe NZ will lose the Rugby World Cup after all.  But by then National will be in, so which way do they leap on this issue?

They'll give exceptions to rugby players. Watch the sevens...
