Im asking this due to being told buy a current football Fern that they get near to nothing from NZF like the team would get maybe 8.5% (yes 8 point 5) (split between 23 players) of the prize pool for making it Germany 2011.
I couldn't get it out of her but i am lead to believe they only receive something like $135-Dollars per game (At a world cup)and nothing for World Cup qlfy rounds . Yet despite there success, NZF wont adjust the percentage of prize pool share with the likes of the USA and Australian women's teams getting almost 7 times that.

Canberra United is pleased to announce the signing of New Zealand international goalkeeper Aroon Clansey for season four of the Westfield W-League. Aroon arrives from New Zealand club side Three Kings United having represented her country on five occasions.
Clansey made her international debut in 2006 and has largely served as a back-up in the national squad travelling with the team to the 2011 FIFA World Cup in Germany. Following her debut against China in Guangzhou she made further appearances against the Cook Islands, Tahiti, Netherlands and Mexico in a five year span.
Primarily added to the squad as a stand-by to Matildas international Lydia Williams, Clansey will provide excellent cover from the bench.
�We are pleased to welcome Aroon to the Canberra United squad,� CEO Heather Reid said. �It�s vital to have another goalkeeper who is able to step into the breach when necessary and in Aroon we have acquired a top-notch replacement goalkeeper.�
Clansey grew up in Wellington but moved to Auckland to pursue national honours. She is a fan of Liverpool its Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina and lists Steven Gerard as her sporting hero.
Away from football, Clansey enjoys tennis, dance music and the TV show Glee.

Canberra United Debut: Yet to make her Canberra United debut
Sounds like Abbey Erceg had a good game despite the result.

I believe its all due to the two girls going to the Rock concert in Sydney called HOMEBAKE which was on the same day as the heavy 10-0 defeat handed to Glory W-League team they play for. Weather they went before or after the W-League match is a mystery.

We together would like to address the erroneous information that has circulated in both the media and social media about the reasons for our departure from the Perth Glory. We were roommates while playing for the Perth Glory and in the privacy of our own home on Monday night, we got into a heated disagreement that led us to request to the club that other arrangements be made. Let us both emphasize that contrary to what some �media� have reported, there was no physical altercation that caused any harm to either of us; it happened at home and not at the field, and had nothing to do with soccer.
While Lisa had requested to the club to be released following the incident, Emma had hoped to play out the season. We were both shocked to learn on Tuesday that we had both been released. We were even more disappointed on Wednesday when we learned that a statement had been released by the club and worded in a careless manner that led to media interpreting it falsely. We appreciate the apology that we received from the club, that included the statement, �We acknowledge that there may be a somewhat disparity between the culture and professionalism of the W-League and what you may have been used to in Europe and that on the pitch and at training you have acted professionally and given it your all.� (See full statement here).
As players at the international level, that have both played at clubs around the world, we take our reputations on and off the field extremely seriously. We look forward to a day where as female players we can be judged for our actions on the pitch. We both look forward to taking the lessons that we have learned from this unfortunate situation and moving on in a positive way, on and off the field.

Whatever anyway i think Emma Kete is prob one of the best strikers in the W-League. Hope she gets that contract with the Reds.
On another note � I was involved in the NZ Secondary Schoolgirl camp over the last four days and there is some quality talent (not a pun) at the u17 level. They should do well next year if travelling to Azerbaijan don�t throw some spanners in the works.

AUCKLAND � Tony Readings has today named an 18 player Football Ferns squad for an international against the USA he says will provide the ultimate Olympic benchmark.
For his first squad as head coach, Readings� has sprung few surprises for the February 11 game in Texas with all players drawn from last year�s FIFA Women�s World Cup squad, including 15 players now playing for clubs outside New Zealand.
The squad is the most experienced Football Ferns squad ever named with the players sharing 750 caps between them.
Only midfielder Katie Bowen, recently back in training after a knee injury, was not considered for selection.
New Zealand is chasing the 12th and final berth for London � the final stage of Oceania qualifying is a home and away playoff against a yet to be determined nation in March and April � and Readings said there is no better team to play than the reigning Olympic champions to see what needs to be done between now and August.
�On any given day they are the benchmark for women�s football,� said Readings, �and they will give us a clear idea of the areas we need to work on before the Olympics but also on ways in which we can hurt top quality teams.�
�They have won the Olympic gold medal three times and missed out on a third World Cup title last year in a penalty shootout. They�ve just come through Olympic qualifying without conceding a goal and capped it off with a 4-0 win over Canada in the final.
�The Olympics will be a 12 team tournament so if and when we get to London, the odds of getting two or even three top tier nations in our pool are high. We need to play the best to prepare for the best.�
