Substitutes Hahn for Stott and Elliott for Greene

Just tuned in, score as expected tbh, maybe thought it might have been more.

However what got my attention right away - what's up with the crowd? Place looks about 90% empty. I know the dates changed but seriously not a flash look when entry is literally free.

NZF really need to get genuine opposition here in the major football cities (Auckland, Wgtn, Chch) before the next World Cup. And please, some marketing!

Terrible. Good time on a Saturday afternoon, yes rescheduled but free entry, and can't even muster a few thousand.

Thought they said 4267 for the crowd, but  maybe I misheard. I think the late change of day didn’t help, although the guy I was sitting next to said it was the free entry that swayed him so that’s at least one.

Hope Vlok’s ok, losing her would be the last thing we need.

Yes Jale played the full game.
Hope she gets a rest on Wednesday for the Nix sake.

https://www.friendsoffootballnz.com/2026/04/13/two-new-zealand-officials-chosen-for-team-one-at-fifa-mens-world-cup/

New Zealand will have two representatives among the match officials appointed for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup following a three-year selection process by FIFA.

Referee Campbell Kirk Kawana-Waugh has been named as the only match referee from Oceania, while assistant referee Isaac Trevis is the sole appointment from the region in his category.

Crowd is embarrassingly small. Hamilton had more. It is school holidays. I guess North Harbour stadium isn’t close to anything but still…..

Hand , Kitching and Jackson not threatening at all at the moment.  Not good enough.

Shooting at goal very, very poor. They need to go across the keeper inside the far post, not to the near post straight at the keeper

It's shades of the AWs verus New Caledonia at Eden Park last year. 0-0 at HT in both.
The Ferns are poor but fair play to PNG they are hanging in there.

Auckland United have struggled the last few OFC Champions League finals to get past Herari United, who I presume make up most of this PNG side.

Hand and Jackson have been terrible.  Lancaster probably not fit. Those three have to be replaced.

Need a real striker out there. How about showing some belief in Milly Clegg.
