I cannot be bothered setting up a blog or the like, so this will be my little travel diary. It is early afternoon here in London, and I am setting off to the airport to fly over to J'berg in about 3 hours (leaving when the England game kicks off). I packed this morning in about 15 minutes - it turns out that everything I own fits into a suitcase - although it is difficult packing for 18 degrees in the day and 4 degrees at night. I have had to bring both my summer and winter wardrobes, although in truth they are pretty much the same.

Arriving in J'berg on Sunday morning, so will have a day to get settled, unpacked and robbed before off to the first game - Holland vs Danemark.

I am pretty sure I have packed all the important things - passport, match ticket information, flight details, hotel details, machete-proof suit of armour, credit card, flat cap and Pro-Collegan eye Renewal Cream - although sure i have left something important sitting at the bottom of one of my drawers. I will let you know what it is when I find out.

I need to purchase one more thing - an AW shirt. I went round about 6 sports shops earlier in the week but they had all sold out. Either demand was massive or they only supplied 4 shirts to each shop. I will try to pick one up in SA when I get a chance, otherwise I am wearing my 1860 Munich shirt to the games.

gave updates on the score at various times, but that was about it.

Not much internet access here, so update is as follows:

Sunday - got very, very drunk

Monday - felt sick. Went to Holland vs Denmark game. Carried on feeling sick. Got stuck in Hillboro (the worst suburb in SA) trying to get a taxi home. Felt sick and scared.

Tuesday - mental.

Bevan has been charming, although with him off on safari for the last couple of nights I have been a bit lonely in the double bed on my own.

Went out to the players hotel on Wednesday, so had a quick chat with a couple of the guys who were in good form. All seem to be looking forward to the Italy game which is not surprising, and the mood in the camp is very positive and bouyant.

South Korea vs Argentina yesterday and those argies were just different gravy. Great atmosphere at the ground so everyone came back buzzing.
