A little optimistic, but I really do like the way NZ football is shaping up for the future.

We have some really good talent coming through at the moment across most position.

Goal
Spoons and Gleeson

Back
Reid, Smith, Hogg (some might disagree)

Mid
McG, James, Costa, Rojas, Milne

Attack
Wood

If we can get a couple more in therem plus a really quality ball playing cm which is what we lack at the moment, in the next four years we should be a very competative unit should everyone keep developing and improving.

Its good to be a kiwi footy fan.

4, even 8 years time Moss will still be round, Lochhead maybe, pretty sure theres a few others not mentioned in their mid 20's.

Gleeson should be in the current World Cup squad.

Henderson, Boyens, Brockie could even stretch it out to lads like Hayne, Coombes, Jarrod Smith.
When you look at the ages of the current AW mix, most should still be around in 4 years time.

Don't want to put a dampner on it but.......It's one thing speculating on lads based on age but some of those mentioned above are unproven at a senior international stage. Think how many examples there are globally of lads that have shown promise at a youth level and never kicked on.

Don't forget other young guys playing for youth teams in europe like Jamie Doris. Coey Turipa impressed at the U17 w/c so another goalkeeper. But how you managed to miss out Henderson, Brockie, Old and even Moss in that first post!

I think Henderson, Smith, Wood and Reid will all be huge in years to come.

About the same time Dura would be eligible, if he hasn't had his chance with the green & gold.

And that lad who got the goal of the tournament in the U-17s.  Hobson McVeigh.  Vs Turkey.  Let's hope some of those boys come though the age grades and push on.

I'll almost certainly go if AWs make it to Brasil. The reason I'm not attending this one is that I have no desire to visit South Africa.

Sorry mate but i think only those in bold will be good enough for the AWs at the next world cup.
You need to watch more football live to get a better idea on players coming through the ranks both here and overseas..

Try that again.
Smith, Reid, McG, Wood and James.

I'd be surprised if Costa is not a regular in a couple of years.

Also, i am not sure Paston will still be here in 4 years and Banny is getting old so I'd expect either Gleeson or Spoons to be there with Moss.

And last but not least, from what i have heard, admittedly i have not seen much of him, the Milne kid is rated very highly and was apparently approached by a couple other Scottish clubs before resigning with Rangers.

I think Paston will be close to retirement after the world cup, so Moss then Spoonley, Gleeson or Turipa. Be nice if one of those three could get picked up by an a-league team or an overseas club in the next few years. Surely Turipa would start for a phoenix youth team if there was one as he had be training with the squad most of the season. But I think Goalkeeper is an area we lack depth.

Also Jack Pelter. What the hell happened to him after signing with Sunderland? Heard nothing after that. Expected bigger things.

Jack seems to suffer from injuiries a bit from what i have read, last i heard before he signed up to play with Aucks he was having a second trial at Bradford, but i guess nothing came of it.

No matters though, Boxall is twice the player he is and is another kid to expect good things from.
