Given the scenes that greeted the All Whites in Auckland yesterday, it would be interesting to speculate what kind of crowd would turn up to see them play Vanuatu if they were playing them today.
I fancy it would be more than the 2,500 who came last time. It looked as if there were more than that in downtown Auckland yesterday.

In fact, perhaps an even more interesting poser is this - what will the crowd be when we actually do play Vanuatu in two years time?

Pretty sure Wellington's the only place in the country that couldn't beat 3 000 for Vanuatu.

One of the best football match experiences of my life that Vanuatu game. So much fun. Loved the White Noise migration at half-time.

It's ok. You are Scottish after all.

Three for me, and two for them.

Christchurch got big crowds for the girls under 17 football, we got ten thousand for Malaysia, and of course 19 thousand for the phoenix.

no more then before BUT Auckland has had some pretty decent crowds against the Island Nations when marketed properly (read '97/98).
Supporter world's best and worst football teams: Waikato/WaiBop, Kingz, Knights, Phoenix, The Argyle, The Whites & the All Whites

Not so much the quality of the game Arsenal, just the company I was with and the atmosphere us lads created in what was essentially an empty stadium. A group of barely 50 of us singing and chanting all game with some of the funniest banter ever. At the end of the game, the All Whites and coaching staff came over to us and clapped us, great gesture.

Was there for the start, will be there for the end.

This,

always and forever.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Yeah I was there too. And moved around also. I must say I've had plenty of more enjoyable football experiences in my life though.

Vanuatu game was pretty awesome, have to agree.

You'd have to say a lot more than 2500, particularly if we had Killy/Nelsen/Fallon/Wood playing- at least that way we look like we are trying to put out a good team.

We'd certainly get a bigger crowd. The Vanuatu match was overpriced, on a weekday, with no promotion other than word of mouth, at a time when the All Whites had little value to the general public. It would have failed anywhere. We wouldn't get a big crowd, certainly nothing to celebrate, but it'd be far less embarassing.

That being said, I'll join in and say that I had a ball at that match. The migration was epic, Eejit's rendition was the stuff of legends, all in all it was a great time.
