Jack Pelter off to the UK - Good News

Looks like Pelter has had some interest from the UK. He might be heading over to Leeds for a trial in the next month. I know Leeds are only in League One(UK 3rd Division), and they have a few, well a lot of financial issues. But any game time in the Uk is a good start for some exposure.

After his performance in the game against Mexico, which I think was solid and the Goal was a great effort and a bonus for him. Surely he will get some interest. Maybe he will get a better offer than Leeds.

Lets hope for a quick signing somewhere. Good luck

The below is from Wikipedia.

"Pelter has had offers from all bar 2 Australian A-League clubs most recently from Wellington Phoenix, He's also rejected the chance to join Fulham and AC Milan's Youth set-up stating that he didn't see the point in leaving his hometown team to play full time reserve football overseas or to be a squad player with an A-League club, More recently Pelter has had scouts from Leeds United & Charlton Athletic running the rule over him both thought to be impressed."

I don't know the story but don't believe everything you read on wikipedia.  Do we have any other sources for any of this?

The interest came along before the U20's World Cup. I think he has some good contacts in the UK.
So good on him. Thats the first time I have seen him and played ok to me.

The more Kiwi's on professional contracts the better.

The goal is just a bonus to help him secure a contract no doubt.

haha ye thats bull! Rejects Ac Milan youth to make phoenix. Good one!!!! He looks like a phsyco. That elbow pissed me off because nz football should not be portraying that behaviour in international tournaments otherwhys we will get a bad name!!! By the way i dont think i saw one shot from outside the box from the kiwis!! I dont understand? very dissapointing. You can shoot from half way with those balls but it seems nz couldnt shoot at all.

I agree the Wikipedia comments seem a bit too good.

Maybe Pelter is updating that Wikipedia himself. Good marketing tactic.  haha

I could understand him not wanting a Fulham youth/reserves contract. They only play about 10 games a year. So you don't get the match time. Like Chris James has been working his arse off their for years and still no sign of a start for the 1st XI.

Yeah, pavlos I think the goal keeping might be of a slightly higher standard than you are used toshooting and scoring are very different things

bro my point is they didnt even attempt to shoot!!! I dont care how good the keepers are. Have some shots from distance!! You can hit those adidas balls so well yet we didnt even attempt to. These players in this team r good but fkn didnt show it in this world cup!

Pelter doesn't want to ba a youth player or squad player... does that mean he expects  to start strainght away at some top club?

Surely if Milan came along or fulham, yoiu'd go.

Maybe not the phowneix, if you believe you can make it over there.

Still, hope he, and a couple others, Boxall, Draper, Spoonly get picked up.

PAVLOS have you got rocks in your head.?? When it came down to it, it doesnt matter how dirty the tackel was its how the ref sees it!! Did he get a card...  NO! And what would you be saying if he didnt win that header and pulled out, That is a good pairing we had at the back, Pelter and Boxell, Both have skill and are physicaly strong. As for him scoriing one goal and becoming the man, Did you not see the other games at the world cup, Pelter was the only player who scored, So yes he actually is the man. Its not often we go to something like that and score a bunch of goals.
