There were just two minutes left in the half when Nakamura
swung a corner into the near post, where McDonald lurked in front
of the Motherwell defenders to nod the ball past the stranded
Smith.
Immediately after this chance Motherwell pushed forward and drove yet another ball across goal, but with just seconds left on the clock it was Celtic who could have grabbed a second as Chris Killen thumped a shot off the post.
