Alright, so can one of the locals tell me where not to go, what not wear, and what not to say in order to leave Melbourne stab free?

You've watched too much Underbelly. Melbourne is as safe as any Major NZ city (safer than Christchurch) Just don't call f**king wogs, f**king wogs and you'll be fine

I love the ingrained racism in Australia.

When we went over for the Sydney game we were in a cab and Feverish said to the cabby "where are we now then" and the cabby said "we're in Surrey Hills mate, it's full of dinks".

Brilliant.

Cue the standard Aussie defence: "it's not racism cos we don't have any problem with dinks, we just call them dinks" etc etc.

Hey lads,

Just wondering how many of you got tickets in the NZ section behind the goals?.

Haha living in Melbourne some of these posts are pretty funny, the stabbing business is blown way out of proportion, its a great city, I go out every weekend around the city and chapel street and its just like any other place as long as you keep to yourself and not be a toolkit you're fine.

But do stay away from the Corner Hotel on matchday cause thats where all the soccerwho fans drink before the game.

I hear Coops aka C Diddy will be drinking at the corner pre-match... and returning to these fair shores VERY soon with missus to again be a loyal Nix supporter.    WHO ARE YA?

Cheers, I'll keep an eye on that.

The only game we're there in time for is Melbourne Knights vs Dandenong Thunder.

Just checked, and it's at 3 at Broadmeadows Valley Park, which is near the airport. Think I shall head to that before the Croat game.

Anywhere special to watch the Champions League final in Melbourne?

I had been hoping they were going to crank the big screen in Fed square but it doesn't look like it. Probably going to watch from the comfort of the couch because it is going to be cold.

I'm already around. If anyone sees a guy wandering around in a grey Phoenix zip hoodie and a Sumner Loving t-shirt, come say hello.

Might not be me but you should say hello to him either way and if it's not you can regale him with the tale of an extraordinary co-incidence

Transports beers are cheaper than other places, by the way.

Paul: "Excuse me for sounding povo, but can I have two of your cheapest beers?"
Hot girl: "f**k, that does sound povo."
Paul: "I'm from New Zealand. Your beer is too dear."
HG: "Really? Would you like a pot or a pint."
Paul: "A pint of course, I'm splashing out."

AUS$15 later, I had two beers. True story.

Apparently some of the lads had some issues getting into transport after the game.

Did Transport even know we where coming... didn't seem too.
