Just for my own selfish purposes to make the most out of the Bahrain trip I thought I would start a specific topic for the travelling All Whites Fans.

Another London based mate and I have just booked our flight. We are arriving late on Thursday night. So might be keen to have a few beers on the Friday night with a few more supporters for some pre-match day discussions.

If anyone going wants to exchange mobile numbers for ease of meeting up at a bar or whatever, then Private Message me on Yellow Fever. http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/pm_new_message_form.asp

Put some info in below on what I have found on the forum and net so far.

1.    All Whites Fans Bar in Bahrain?

So if anyone knows a good bar we could use as the All Whites supporters bar, preferable for the Friday night drinks and Saturday pre-match drinks, post it here and let us agree on a bar. Have Beige Brigade travelling fans already sorted something? I am easy, but would be good to get the atmosphere going with as many kiwis as possible.

2.    Ticket information thanks to Beige Brigade.

http://www.beigebrigade.co.nz/blog/?p=600

Is anyone going to use this phone line booking facility or going to be buying tickets on the day? Let me know if you do book on the phone line and if we have to be more specific with our booking(other than just the NZ Zone)

Tickets are only available on the day of the fixtureodd but true. They have provided a contact phone number to purchase tickets in advance, however these can only be purchased ONE WEEK prior to kick-off. You can contact Mr Issa Dhawadi on mobile number +973 39 85 88
80. PLEASE ONLY CALL THIS NUMBER ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE MATCH.
Tickets are $76 NZD for the VIP area and $28 in the fun area.

3.    Hotels

I still got to sort out Hotel bookings, so if anyone has any recommendations of where they are booked that is reasonably priced please advise. I have seen some that look like they will cost about 25-40 per night per person sharing a room. I am guessing booking in the main part of Manama is the given choice.

4.    Eating Out, Entertainment Costs In Bahrain- source some website.

5.    Visa to Bahrain

Looks like you need a visa, but you can get it when you land on arrival and it cost 5 BD or about 9 each.

6.    Transport from Airport

Looks like it only costs about 8-10 for a taxi from the airport to Manama. Taxis in general seem pretty reasonable, although they said there are some dodgy taxi drivers who may not use their meter, so either agree a estimated price for the journey at the start or make sure they put their meter on. Or both.

Bahrain Intl (BAH):  Location: 6 km/4 Miles NE of Manama.  By Taxi: To Manama BHD$3-4/10-15 mins.

See you there.

Chris

I am putting in an early call for the Irish Bar Fiddlers Green (http://www.radissonblu.com/diplomathotel-bahrain/dining/fiddlers-green) to be our base, as it is in the hotel that I am staying in (meaning not far for me to crawl home after drinks).  I am arriving at about 10 on the Friday night, so will be about for a drink at about 11).  Otherwise it will be seeing everyone on the Saturday afternoon for a few beers before kick off.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight
