my scarf turned up today. Utter piece of sh*t. Its not even long enough to be worn properly (could be my fault if they come in different lengths but there was only 1 option on the NZ football website). I'm going to use it as a bar mat.

Anyone know where you can buy the shorts? tried rebel they said no, after I had looked at the NZF website which has them in size medium and large, im a small, but rebel contacted Nike who said NZF shouldn't even have them. Who else shouldnt have them but has a size small!?

Anyone who buys a shirt with the word 'soccer' on it deserves to be shot or move to the US.

The rules of football were codified in England by the Football Association in 1863, and the name association football was coined to distinguish the game from the other forms of football played at the time, specifically rugby football. The term soccer originated in England, first appearing in the 1880s as a slang abbreviation of the word "association",[50] often credited to former England captain Charles Wreford-Brown.[51]

Maybe so but we are supposed to call it football even in NZ now as in every other country except US and I think OZ.

Will always be football to me.

Customise your soccer jersey with Nike shirt printing for all your favourite stars including Ryan Nelson, Rory Fallon, Chris Killen, or even your own name and number in the same style as worn by the players at the 2010 World Cup.

I would laugh so hard if someone ordered one and it arrived with NELSON on the back.

Haha I looked at that and wondered the same thing, i'd be very pissed! especially seeing it'll take over 3 weeks to arrive, dont know if i could wait another 3 to send it back and get a new one.

It's because the dollar is so strong v's the pound right now. Normally about 3 to 1 but is at about 2 to 1 at the moment (basically you double the pound value instead of tripling it). Toffeeman2010-05-21 20:07:48

Nobody else sells them, NZF are just getting rid of old stock. Its always been pretty much impossible to buy NZF gear (except replica shirts). It tends to (99% of the time at least...) be player issue only.

Ordered a home shirt from Kitbag on Friday, $98 including P & H. It arrived today and looks great. Beats paying $150 to buy one from the Soccer Shop via the NZFC site.  Only thing was they only had XL and XXL sizes left.

I'm going to wait it out a little before ordering a shirt, I'm hoping they'll be available with a world cup badge on the sleeve or something like that.
Permalink Permalink

Id say if they were coming with badges they would be available already, at least on the Brazil shirts or something at least... Also youre running more of a chance of missing out on a shirt. Remember Nike arent making that many of them, and once theyre gone... theyre gone. And probably wont be around until some months post WC
