Unbelievable. What a result! Hopefully the lads will get wired in to the Czech's. It would be amazing to see them sneak a point and qualify for the knockout stage.

Is it true that a lot of these players are getting trials from European clubs?
over 14 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
In the game the other night thre were references to three or four getting trials of having signed, e.g Howlieson to Burnley and the RB going to LA Galaxy for a second trial.

Hopefully a few more will get similar opportunities after the tournament... i'm thinking Payne, Edge and Hattrick boy atleast.
over 14 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
The RB you refer to is Bill Tuiloma and he has signed for LA Galaxy, not on trial again.

Three for me, and two for them.

No. USA win, we draw, we're through. Uzbek win throws the group wide open.

Three for me, and two for them.

Stop thinking so nagative, usa lose and nz are top of the group before they have even played.

If we can spank the Uzbeks 4-1, and then they take something off the States, surely we can qualify through our own efforts and not even have to worry too much about other results. From what I've seen so far, we can turn over the Czechs today.

Football isn't that black and white though.

Well, lots to play for now.

Yeah, I know Buffy, I just seem to have a bit more faith than some. Misplaced? Perhaps.
Anyway, so Uzbeks have beaten the States, but now, if we can beat the Czechs, we go through. The ball is well and truly in our court. Priority 1, though, is to avoid defeat.
