France have some poor finishing. They've had a few chances.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.

SKY feed dropped out. Grrr. Lots of commentary references to overseas born NZ players - Schnell (South Africa), Woud (Netherlands), Ceci (UK), plus at least 4-5 others I know of. Begs the question about how many NZF had to obtain clearances for. They've not released that info have they?

Just shows how out of place we look against these players. What happened to getting rid of hoofball?

4 or lower I'll be rapped.

Unimpressed by our general play. We will never learn to compete if we do not try to play. Any idiot can kick a ball 40 meters.

I quit watching might go have something to eat then come back second half and see if we have learned anything. One thing I have learnt for the last 6 months of being In Central and South America is that it's all about short skillfull passing as what you said any idiot can kick a ball 40 meters.

Down 5 goals by half time.

Wish I could say I'm surprised, but when from kick off you lump the ball forward 40 yards straight out its sets a tone. Not a great one especially, when you repeat the process for every other kick off.

Embarrassing losing like this. Lose trying to play, don't lose trying to hide.

this link say they will be back after the break with the second half - maybe sky could just broadcast this feed - saw the goals in the half time highlights, so they definitely haven't lost the feed from the ground

Good man/woman! Thanks

Least we scored.

Why 16 year olds?

Players can turn 17 this year and still play.

We managed to score a goal against a team that didn't concede a goal during their qualifying until the semi's... beating Germany 4 - 1 in the final.

If anything, this showed that we are better off playing the ball on the ground as we did in the second half rather than hoof and look to frustrate.

Our players did seem small in comparison to some of the French players.

Bit tough on Logan... his assist was good and he showed strength to get in front of and around his marker.

Why 16 year olds?

You do wonder that given there are eight 16 year old players in the squad. Lack of depth in 17 year old age band ?
