did anyone hear on live sport this morning that the U-20's have been invited to South Korea (I think) to play against Nigeria and South Korea after the U-20 championships?

Tough group. Still, this u20 side is better equipped than any before it to go through. Fingers crossed.

Three for me, and two for them.

I don't mind our group, aside from Portugal the other two do not daunt me greatly.

Could be a chance to sneak through.

You are not worried by Uruguay? I hope you're kidding around, right?

If we don't win, then there is something wrong with this kind of tournament.

IMP. Weak at the back with limited options up front.Strong in the middle but will not help against stronger nations at the world cup where the midfield will have trouble getting hold of the ball.
Should win the final tomorrow though as most of our youth teams would compete with these island teams.

Or the Solomon Islands are just better on the day.

Unlikely, but possible, we'll see later on Today!!Azevo2011-04-29 00:12:37

Milicich confirmed UK-based All White Chris Wood, who has returned to Premier League side West Brom after a success loan spell at Brighton, is being manoeuvred into the World Cup frame but won't not be part of the Asian tour.

European-based Cameron Lindsay (Blackburn Rovers), Michael Built (Northampton Town) and Luis Esteves (Belenenses, Portugal) will be at the Suwon Cup, as will Waitakere United's Sean Lovemore.

Just to mimic some of the other call here, Rojas and Musa were definitely on top of the tournament which was to be expected. I though Rojas could have played a little better but I understand there was really no need to and his input was definitely more than enough to do the job. I thought Chettlebourgh and Sole were really impressive as well and I would not be surprised if it was one of them that got the man united trial. Galbraith was for me the weakest player and I get the feeling he only played because he has similar physical attributes to Chris Wood and it gave the other players an idea of how to cross the ball etc when Wood is playing.

Agree. Galbraith seemed to have a poor first touch alot of the time and was very slow. Not mocking him as a player... but it really makes you appreciate Chris Woods agility a lot more. Even though he is not the quickest himself he has a great first touch and should add something extra to this U20 side. Is Wood not going with the team to Korea?

No he isn't they are only going to get him back for the world cup during the premier league off season. Which is a great shame because he is our best striker and an integral part of the team that they need to learn to play with.

Depending on how much time they have together prior to the world cup with Wood available will make a big difference.

Its a shame he cant go to Korea, if i'm correct his loan spell has ended and i don't see him getting a run at WBA so why not send him.

Still, at senior levels players have to learn how to play with each other quickly due to them all coming from different parts of the world. Good learning curve for them.
