from AW facebook page, though not sure if letting in 3 goals was part of the game plan!  Job well done anyway

Chris Milicich Thank you for your comments, the boys really worked hard for that result and followed the game plan perfectly - they were brilliant

It was to lull them into a false sense of security, worked perfectly.

World Cup squad will feature 21 players.

26 players have been used in qualifying and Suwon Cup games.

Another two haven't played. I'm guessing that's Chris Wood and maybe Sean Lovemore?

Woodzee not sure if he'll be there or not

Anyone know where the team is headed before Colombia. Heard a rumour about Europe (would seem silly no?) and USA?

The NZ Herald article in todays news about Chris Wood possibly playing for the NZ U20s mentions in the 2nd to last paragraph they will be in California prior, at the same time as WBA in pre-season camp.

Note to NZ Football re website:
U20s fixtures and overview pages could do with an update to perhaps include the recent qualifying tournament results and upcoming pre WC games and itinerary. WC fixtures have been updated on the main calendar though.

18th - Leave for USA
24th - Leave for Colombia

Just ask the coach I guess. I'm guessing they have some warm up games lined up in the USA

Hopefully they can emulate some of the u17 success and avoid a similar embarrassment.

Their build up results were decent.

So much for the players and family having been told to keep mum about their selections.  I bet NZF are happy about these leaks

Did the U17s?

Who do we think the keepers will be? Marinovic, McPeake and Turipa?

I reckon you could find him using sales statistics for KFC's double down.

Turipa won't get a look in. Third keeper is likely to be Max Tommy or Alex Carr.

Three for me, and two for them.

Wasn't Alex Carr behind Turipa at the Under-17 World Cup?

Seriously. Coey will make it.

He was, but Milly and co. have not had a chance to look at him seriously in the past 6-12 months. They have had an extensive look at both Carr and Tommy. You may think it's unjust but that is the way it goes.
