Plus Singh and that boy in Holland will get a look in probably.

I can see it now. Singh and McGarry pumping long balls to Rogerson for 85 mins then forgetting the team strategy (at least in the islands now it's route one or maybe better known as route nowhere) for a couple of minutes and accidently passing it only to score 2 goals and for NZF to spin it as possession football and alignment etc.

Some of these young guys are seriously good on the ball. Please don't force them to play the way the AWs did.,

Yep, he's eligible - do an Advanced Search on Transfermarkt and that shows you DoBs of a few players. Got to be born in 1997 or more recent......so Henry Cameron, Clayton Lewis, Luca Scimia in Italy, Liddicoat and Maukau-McPhee from HBU....etc etc etc. Probably half (if not more) of the WeeNix......guys like Noah Billingsley and probably others in the States.....Tom Walters (ex Norwich), Josh Champness (Roar Youth), Izzet (ex-Whitecaps) would all be in contention too.

And Moses Dyer.

When do they play? He might not be fit..

You'd like to think he will make himself available

Henry Cameron would be great for us... some really pleasing talent in the mix there.

Whats better is most of the names mentioned are in, or have been in pro environments so should be tactically more astute than perhaps previous campaigns.

Is Brotherton too old?

Cameron and Clayton Lewis eligible as is Dire I mean Dyer. Patterson misses by 20 something days. Imagine team will include Singh, McGarry and Rogerson from Nix and a few others from Weenix.

New Zealand are much better at u20 and u17 then the main squad. New Zealand will destroy in the ofc u20. Hopfully sarpreet singh will be selected.

Does anyone have a predicted squad they could post.

Not sure if it's been mentioned here, but Oceania now have 2 spots for the World Cup Under 20s (also for U17s)...Fiji and NZ relatively good show last year has given an extra spot.

Conor Tracey

The wests crew

Bertie Fish

Patrick Hay

Waikato Ball

Singh when you win

Lewis Tiller

We can still fail to qualify just by losing one game, it's just now that game is the semi final not the final

Yes while we can still lose a semi and miss out, one would assume we would top our group and play the second qualifier... and often the drop off from there is quite apparent.

Does NZF get any money for qualifying for age group tournaments? Would be nice if the Island teams gained a little more $$ as well.

I think there's a little blue pill you can get for that

Does anyone know how the U20 training camp went in Auckland over the last two weeks? Or if they will name a wider squad soon?

The squad has been picked players know but I will give you one name Connor Probert and some others from springs

Permalink Permalink

I thought those in American Universities, like Probert would not be involved in the qualifiers, but come into it for the Cup next year?

There are a number like him whose College year has just started when the Qualifiers are taking place.

Has the Wanders FC idea run its course? Or will there be an U20 team in the ASB premiership again? Extra teams - maybe no room?

I think it was always a temporary thing, just to prepare the lads for hosting the U20 WC so we didn't get embarrassed

Saw them training at QBE last night.

I only recognised two people involved.

Moses Dyer and Dylan Burns - Only reason why I recognise them is because I went to school with them.

Didn't know who anyone else was, but the keepers are giants.

I heard phone calls were made to selected players in last 24 hours. Announcement soon or is this a non-announced squad for qualifiers?
