My pick if we qualify...

                    Woud

Igham   Smith Stringer . Carcace

               Bell    Thomas

McCowatt            Singh            Just

                   Wood

You could replace Smith with Boxall, but I think Smith brings the greater leadership qualities. I expect Reid to be injured otherwise I would grab him.

Possible straight swaps

Just for McGarry

McCowatt for Waine or Rogerson.

A quick, mobile and technically proficient team with a good target up top.

Tuiloma has been playing very well at CB recently as well, Timbers are definitely outperforming the Rapids.

I dont rate Billingley as a striker, but he might have potential as a RB,

Our keeper is a nightmare! woeful with the ball at feet. Looks ok as a shotstopper... but he's a heart attack waiting to happen.

He's not been bad at Handa level. This might be his one bad game.

It's a fun game to watch.

Is it Richard Parkin by any chance?

Great shotstopper and quality reflexes but one of the least confident goalkeepers I’ve seen in NZ and has trouble handling the ball

Ben Homer was calling it afaik. He has done some A-League games.

I know it's just a friendly but it's been a good watch. Des has them playing good football.

The Aussie team has more that 700 A League games across the team... we really shouldn't be competing with them based on where players are playing and at what level etc.

Very even first half, but we probably look the more dodgy, particularly at the back. Both CB's look limited technically and the goal keeper looks very shakey with ball at feet.

Lewis and Billingsley (who I have slated for years) look our best.

Rogerson and McGarry looking alright as well, with Stensness having equal good and bad moments.

Not much out of the other 5 IMO.

Thought Aus looked more comfortable in possession. NZ competing well though. Nervy at the back. Passes from our GK going behind the players not helping and inviting pressure. Thought we did well to get in behind on a number of occasions.

Keep it up boys.

Hope Lewis's fitness lasts the distance. Silky on the ball and really making them think. Looks like he's out of gas at times though.

Bevan Myer makes good runs, but doesn't know what to do when he gets the ball.

Yep, sums him up well; he's good to make runs to open space for players who can actually score..

We have dominated teh second half, but they probably have had the better chances. Two very even teams.

should have scored another 3 by now.

Should have won that, good game over all for a C squad.

Lachie Wales missed some great chanes for them. Draw was a fair result. Poor finishing from both sides.

Entertaining game. Both teams guilty of missing good scoring opportunities.

Am sure these games have been very worthwhile for Buckingham in the lead up to the qualification tournament.

Looked like some players really needed the game time.

Hopefully Aussie football see how much we have improved as a nation and the value of maybe playing us a little more across all levels to give both sides experience.

Excited for the qualifying tournament and hopefully the Olympics after that.

Another indicator that the future is bright.

Hopefully as the Euro boys say goodbye (apart from Lewis & Whyte), and the Nix boys slot in - they can do the job in Fiji.

Again I wonder how settled Lewis is at Scodhorpe. Wouldn't hurt Talay having a chat. His BMI maybe a bit high at the moment, but some class touches.

Thought we looked much more solid in defence with Stanger there in the second half. Shame hes not going to the Q tournament.

Surely he can get a release from his 5th tier Scottish club ??

You'd think so eh. But I suspect the Aussie football world can't wrap the heads around the concept of acknowledging a strong NZ football scene.
