Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

So does behind closed doors mean no TV Coverage or just no crowd?

Yup. Pre-tournament warm ups are a security issue to stop spies from the other team (in this case Paraguay) surveying the team strategy for them.

Think of it as a sparring partner for a boxing match. To try different things.

I'm pretty sure they're doing three 30 minute thirds.  So bit of a joke if its on TV - unless they show all the trainings which would be sweet (for us and the enemy spies).

Maybe they'll keep the result a secret as well?

Unlikely.

You know we belong together...

Did we play any warm ups before Spain 82?

Pathetic. Not apathetic.

Most likely it will be a secret. The score does not count for anything. It is a working strategy session, a training match and is not an official international "a" match. But they will have to have proper match officials running it. Hence the match is broken into 30 minute thirds. AllWhitebelievr2010-03-24 12:55:10

But surely they'll give us some idea how the team went?

Are we getting a bit of a connection going with the Chileans?  This will be the third time we play them in 4 or 5 years.  They've come over here for age-group and I think our women have played them (though that could have been during WC's which is completely different).

Careful, if you suggest we are developing a link with Chile Diego's Son may suggest we join CONMEBOL

Off topic but it's amazing that it took Australia until 1988 before they finally got the wood on us again.

That site also reminds me of being at the Hutt Rec right behind the goal the night the AWs played China in 1990, and answers the question that has been bugging me off and on as to who scored both goals for us.

Excellent site.

Wrong. . . 3rd November 1985 in Sydney. We lost 0-2. Read it again.

Alternatively, check the elo rating site.

EDIT: the NZ goals are always given first in that table by ultimatenzsoccer. It does not obey the usual home team : away goal score format.AllWhitebelievr2010-03-26 02:49:51
