2-1 now. 2 goals in 30 seconds.

Three for me, and two for them.

It's gone:

2-1 (40 seconds later)
3-1

Well played.  Great performance.  Should have been 6-1 in reality - we squandered so many chances.  But a win is a win and it was well-deserved.

Great stuff girls, pity we were unable to draw against Canada (or Denmark for that matter) as that one point would've sent us through.

Poorly though the 'Nix have been playing that was nothing compared to the 'Nix.  Considering the opposition etc.

Harry wasn't comparing it to the competitive level, but as entertainment and enjoyable to watch football that killed the way the Phoenix have been playing this season.

Paul Temple, your next Phoenix coach.

Was at the game tonight, and what a disgrace to see immature people in the crowd bringing fireworks into the stadium and then firing it at the security guard.  Because of that stupid person we as a city have probably lost our chances of hosting the home leg of the 2010 world cup play off match.

On a happier note, congratulations to the girls for such a awesome display of football and congratulations to Rosie for the hat-trick

Drunken dickheads, dealt with by security.

Should never have been let in.

End Of.

Rosie White for the Phoenix.

Wicked game. Awesome to see the girls do so well. Great goals by Rosie White. Hope she gets a scholarship and Bri Fisher is definitely deserving too.

Yea a shame about those idiots, what were they thinking? If it jeopardises our chances of hosting that playoff I'll be mighty annoyed. Incidentally they tried to take me on 7 on 1 in town just before. What t**sers.

Even on that I'd still have to disagree.  Although it was a good game it was awfully frustrating to watch (even more frustrating, imo, then the Phoenix recently which says a lot).

Brilliant game... the fireworks dude is a complete nob, when one went off in security dudes face he went apesh*t.

But yeh good to see them showing some emotion, and not having to have bloody people falling over pretending to be injured every 5 seconds.

Brilliant performance tonight, that third goal was magic. Wall hustling on the side of the area and then putting across the perfect ball for White to head home.

Well done ladies.

It wasnt frustrating at all. Passes were absolutely brilliant considering the weather and so was the skill.

At least they played through the middle, rather than trying to go from defender to striker.

It was great build up play and some awesome through balls.HarryPeters2008-11-04 21:59:22

Magic, a truly special evening. The joy those girls showed at the end of the game was something to behold. They are a credit to themsleves and to the country.
As for those dickheads, we are speaking to the head RA at there hostel, wouldnt be at all surprised to see someone charged out of it.

But not shame on all of you who weren't there for not coming but it is a shame you weren't as that was very very special

Not trying to be pessimistic on a historic night for Kiwi football but although they counter-attacked very well they shot from ridiculous places, put minimal power into the shots, failed to convert countless opportunities into goals and did not have much imagination.

Having said all that I'm very happy we won it and that third goal was great.
