Magnificent performance. As a centre half all I can say is Bri Fisher - what a star!

On a downer I notice that although the NZ Herald carriea the story about the win they got Rosie Whites name wrong and called her Katie for some reason.

The Herald's coverage is awful. One small story hidden at the bottom of the page. The commentator was saying last night that Rosie White would be finding her picture all over tomorrow's paper, and probably the front page and not just the sports section.

Expect that idiot to get a life ban for that. He got a good decking from the Red Badge guy too (the last shot from his Roman Candle went off when the guard was a metre away)

Great win for the girls. They do need to work on their passing and being able to trap the ball better, get that with experience

I was at the Canada / Denmark game in Hamilton. The Canadians were ecstatic when they heard the NZ result as it kept them in the comp. They even have a wee gift lined up for our girls.

Yahoo / Xtra website no better. This was the only thing I found with a quick scan, going thru' the Home page, to Sport, then Football. This was in the Photos section. No headline, no linked story. Nothing. Garbage.

Well Done To The NZ Team Well deserved looked like great viewing on TV BTW pathetic crowd 3546 thats not even half of the amount that turned up to the games at the NHS however we had reasonably fine weather both games I heard the conditions were quite sh*t

It was a hell of a freezing stormy night.

That couple with the fact it was a weeknight, not a weekend like was had up at NHS. Hard to compare crowds because of the 2 big factors there

Not that much awareness of the game let alone the World Cup taking place. You would think that taxi drivers are generally up with the play on what is happening, lots of talking with customers and sitting around reading the paper, but the taxi driver that took myself and fiance to the game last night knew nothing. The taxi driver that took us to the Roar game the other weekend was also unaware that a World Cup was being hosted in New Zealand and Wellington will be hosting games.

Note: I am not rich and prefer taking taxis to games so that I can be dropped off at the stadium entrance, rather that I live in Newtown, don't own a car and never give myself enough time to catch a bus and get to the stadium on time.

Well according to the NZPA Sarah McLaughlin was in goal when the Colombians scored. Would have been easy for them seeing as she had been playing up front for most of the game and was actually subbed off by the time the goal went in!!!

There was only the one game on the Tuesday night, Tegal. Schools attendance was planned for the Wednesday and Thursday fixtures. Facts, please.

The total attendance figures at NHS per day (for two games unless stated) have been:
Oct 28 - 13,123 (one game)
Oct 29 - 6,759 (one game)
Nov 1 - 11,170
Nov 5 - 3,920

Total - 34,972
Venue capacity - 25,000

Totals at The Caketin, two games each day:
Oct 30 - 11,500
Nov 2 - 6,471
Nov 4 - 3,546

Total - 21,517
Venue capacity - 35,000

Totals at QE2 Park, two games each day:
Oct 29 - 4,105
Nov 1 - 4,272
Nov 5 - 1,410

Total - 9,787
Venue capacity - 14,913

Totals at Waikato Stadium, two games each day:
Oct 30 - 5,016
Nov 2 - 4,115
Nov 4 - 3,283

Total - 12,414
Venue capacity - 25,800

Overall total - 78,690
Per game average - 3,279

These "pure" attendance figures are before all the corporate numbers get thrown in to distort (read misrepresent) the final tallies.

Cheers,

Im glad that the media didnt give them any recognition for their antics... but we may have extra security at the next Nix game.

I half expected that guy with the pink tie to take to us when we gave them sh*t.

A couple of points.

1.  Well done to the White Noise lads for not firing up.  There were certainly those among us tempted to give them a slap even before the fireworks incident.

2.  Security knew full well what was going on.  Witness how all they did was come and grab evidence afterwards and then not leave anyone watching over us.  They had them tagged as nothing to do with the Fever.

That's not particularly accurate, the per game.  As many people stay for both matches on game days.

Need to come up with a best guess figure on that percentage and include that to get a reasonable per game figure.

Good crowd considering the dreadful conditions, but it was not very loud at all.  Could only be heard occasionally on TV.

It was a f***g sh*thouse crowd.
The weather didnt tuly pack in until after the game had started. Just a bit windy beforehand.
Too many f***g free loaders who'll only go if they can bludge a freebie.
Judging by the way the pubs were choka for a f***g horse race beforehand, it wasnt too bad for people to slip away from work early.

I'm not a lover of womens football by any means, but it was NZ last game and they'd played pretty decent football all thru the group stages.

3.5K = piss take.

They were pretty obviously not forum or football regulars.  Rugby socks and shorts as a fashion item for example.
