He said the style will now change to a more progressive firm of the game.
Countdown or Super Value?
PNG just beat Malaysia 2-0. I don't know what the quality of the Malaysia was, but still a good win none the less.
PNG definitely on the up. Could be better then us in a few years given the population and lack of rugby and cricket there (not sure how popular league still is).

But i was told that PNG players couldn't afford footballs and worked in factories. How could they be better than us?

Maybe they have a federation that cares about their national team.

Not commenting on the match but Malaysia is bloody awful at football. Current FIFA ranking of 173 and I've watched a bit of their football in the past (I was working in KL on a project) and it reflects this.
Malaysia 'shouldn't' be awful given their resources and football mad public...but corruption can kill a game and it has over there. Good for PNG though, they keep playing games, and they will improve...probably the only Pacific team who play outside of the region (by playing regular games in Asia)
Given the location of PNG, I wonder if they are interested in moving to Asia.
That would require FIFA to care about OFC
That would require FIFA to care about OFC
That would require OFC to care about advancing to the WC finals.
Their main objective is development, funded by FIFA money. Move to Asia, lose the money.
The David Chung Gravy train has no room for Asia.
