For some of the young guys it will be a career highlight for sure.  Just feels wrong to celebrate after that display and everything over the 2 weeks

PNG got robbed without the keeper substitution in the 120th minute.

They need to make it before the game ends.  They had the chance at the throw in with 119 gone, but chose not to take it.

I thought they were trying but the 4th official didnt get the refs attention

Meh, we've been held back by Hudson's sharke tactics. We're winning despite of him. They deserve to celebrate, no matter how shark we've been. They still won the thing, which we haven't done in a while..

if it was in regulation time, I'd go fair enough, but penalties can be a real lottery so in my opinion, don't celebrate like you fudgeing dominated it. You just got lucky today.

I'm cynical and negative, but saying that the players can't celebrate winning a tournament in tough conditions is f*cking stupid.

When you're playing, you don't care how you win as long as it is within the laws of the game. They didn't have to watch it!

I'm not saying 'don't celebrate a win' - I'm saying don't go overboard when you were lucky. It could have just as easily been them that won and this place would be in melt down mode..........

Judging by some of the comments about Brockie I'm guessing he's the first player in the history of football to miss in a shootout

Rory Fallon shake hands with every PNG players, on the interview he praise PNG's arrangement of this OFC Nations Cup. That's what real captain should do after winning the final,

Nevermind Chris Wood, make him the captain permanently to lead us to World Cup 2018, please.

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

Fire Hudson.

Brockie should never be allowed to play for his country again.

We dodge a bullet, we did the job.

But theres gotta be big changes, we can never play football like this again.

I think this performance proves you have to have a team together for some solid time - our part-time approach with only a few half-strength games every couple of years really cripples the team. Getting out of this with the win gives us the chance to try and do it right. Time will tell. Looks like the WC Qualifiers will need to be taken a bit more seriously from now on.

So missing a penalty means your a shark player? I don't get how the outcome of a penalty defines what sort of player you are, or how any penalty outcome can be expected.

Fallon has shown that he is just a class human being and his Dad could learn a bit from his son. He had a good tournament and for as much as he was written off by most, he stood up and did his job.

I quite like Brockie, but it does play into his terrible goal-scoring record for the National team.

I never said that was my opinion, I'm just answering your question from the perspective of the Brockie Haters Society.

Wood would have done the same. Rory has stepped up well though, with his rag tag army to manage to sneak us through. At this stage it doesn't matter how we do it. What we do from here is crucial. I'd say Marinovic, Adams and T H-W are the main folk to have their reputations enhanced. Everyone else gets a should do better.

Hmmm interesting. If players were stock, Marinovic, Fallon and Themi would be a buy. Fenton, Brotherton and Tuiloma would be fire sale/dump/sell sell sell and get as many cents as you can for the dollar

Look at Hudson in the middle there looking like a Twit.

Look he came it to do a job at a very awkward time, who knows how many players Hudson was sure he could call on who didn't have siblings/children/relatives appearing in school productions or Bar Mitzvah's going in to the tournament. The fact Brockie missed a penalty merely reflects the fact his sister should probably have been getting married this weekend as well.
