- A proposal to revive the OFC Nations Cup for 2012, which involved the All Whites and five of the Pacific Island nations, was deferred to 2015. Instead, a Pacific Cup (involving the top five teams from the 2011 Pacific Games and possibly the New Zealand Olympic team) will be held in February 2012.

Its good that they are going back to a proper format. I could never understand the reasoning behind combining the WCQ and OFCNC games together. Surely more games played by OFC teams would equal more comercial exposer and higher FIFA rankings (NZ included).

Cost.
I know thats been trupetted as the case but if OFC and its shearholders (NZF etc) bothered to market it properly this should never have been the case, espcially in places like french Poloynesia where football is massive.
