Do we have one? Or is considered Micky mouse like beach football/futsal to be mentioned of this forum?.

I think its very dangerous to apply any label like 'mickey mouse' to athletes with disabilities/challenges.

I was the one that labeled beach football and futsal mickey mouse but I would never apply that to any paralympic sport.

NZF can hardly fund the teams they have now, why add more to the list.

Its just that on the FFA website they have under there national teams the Paralympic football squads (5 and 7 a side). I checked NZF website and there is nothing there at all. New Caledonia and PnG also support Paralympic football squads so why would NFZ ignore it?.

I believe its government funded but needs to be approved by NZF, Maybe like some members on this forum (and admins) they feel ashamed to mention it along side the 11 a side game " a la micky mouse".

Would they even be able to get a team together? Are there enough people interested? How many of them were footballers before hand? There's many more reasons why we don't have a team. We don't even have a beach soccer side for able bodied players, so there may just not be enough interest in general.

The Pararoos are 100% funded externally from the FFA. I imagine NZF would only consider a Paralympic side under the same circumstances.

WRONG - Where did you dig that info up from a serial box?.

From there (Paralympic) website "We receive financial support from the Australian Government, some State and Territory Governments, our corporate partners and sponsors plus fund raising, this does not cover all costs associated with supporting the Australian Paralympic Football Teams and our ongoing sport and community program".

Only thing FFA almost fully fund is the paralympic national league.

Royz, please re-read what I said. "Funded externally from the FFA" means they source their funding outside of the FFA.
Also...
- cereal, not serial.
- their, not there.

I can understand how that was misconstrued, apologies for not being clearer.
