After Rufer and Ngata there aren't many who spring to mind.

Are there many younger ones with some talent coming through? Not a rant or argument just i for one would like to see more Maori footballers play at higher levels.

You could try a few of the Football Ferns, for starters. Maia Jackman, Hayley Moorwood, Amber Hearn, Abby Erceg, Kristy Hill and Emma Kete all boast Maori heritage, as does Young Fern Jessica Rollings. I'm sure there are a fair few more around and about.

The problem with a thread like this, is what one calls a Maori. Is it 5%, 10% or what? Have played with guys for 10 years whose names were SMITH as an example only to find out that they had Maori blood. Does it matter. I think not.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

John Enoka?

Definitely. Fine, rugged midfielder for Stop Out back in the day.
