ffs. you cannot be serious. either your talking about matt or youve got your refrences to wests wrong and r talking about stu jacobs. if matt callcot ever coached all whites id start riots in porirua before shooting myself. he couldn't coach a 14th grade rep team if he tried. as for stu rate him but for me hasn't coached [high] enough to be given the reigns yet.
personally i rate aaron mcfarland but that 2 is probably a far cry like matt calcott.

point taken I think this thread should be shut down for being sacreligious. How many World Cups has God been to with the All Whites? And if He was there with the All Whites could He have made more of a contribution?

Aaron is very good but, like Matt, only proven at club level. Would be a big jump up.
I'm guessing GreekBoi meant Stu, which would make sense. Jonny Gould is another option. Basically you'd be looking at your NZFC coaches...

What is Aaron Mcfarland up to these days? He coached me as a kid and was one of the players' coaches who genuinly cared.

I think Aaron does work for Auckland football as he does have and Auckland Football email address. In what capacity, I don't know but between the Central first team, the ACFC youth team and Tua'as assistant I would say fulltime in football.

this is a bizarre thread. If Ricki were to leave or be fired from the Phoenix (All Whites) then the next coach comes from the NZFC or you will find an Foreigner taking the reins. (Personally I would dislike that as it is a NZ team and for better or worse there are opportunities for NZer's that they can't get offshore due to nationality. We shouldn't apologise for being kiwis).
Any coach not in the NZFC is really not capable of coaching the Phoenix (All Whites)- our best coaches are in the NZFC and if they aren't they should be. MacFarland and Matt(??) can't prove anything until they are coaching in the NZFC. Lots of coaches seem to be good coaches at a club level and then struggle immensely at the next level.
I agree with Agent47 - Jacobs, Milicich and Tuaa - the rest of the coaches in this country (apart from Allan Jones) are a long way behind.

The more I read the thread the more I was thinking how bizarre it was. Somehow the Phoenix entered my thinking. If you replace Phoenix for All Whites my point is still valid I think.
The only kiwis capable of taking the All Whites after Ricki will be Jacobs, Tuaa or Milicich - the rest are way off the pace.
