Post stuff about Slovakian players, who we need to watch out for.
Most definitely Marek Hamsik. Attack midfielder, great passer, quick feet and a power shot. Ask Juve what they think of him. Has become a super star in Napoli and in the Serie A. Considered the best attack midfielder in Serie A.
Martin Skrtel big powerful center-back, not the best at dealing with quick agile players. Relies more on power than anticipation and positioning. Although probably suited to dealing with our type of striker.
Marek Mintal, striker/attack mid. Like Skrtel two time Slovak player of the year. 2005 Bundesliga top goal scorer.

Miroslav Stoch is star of my Exeter City team in the Championship on FM. I hear he's not too bad in real life either... scored 5 goals in 13 starts as a winger for FC Twente this year on loan from Chelski (they didn't release him in real life).
And yes, I am that sad that I like to track the careers of players I sign in FM. Tim Sparv ftw!

For Paraguay they have a striker called scar Cardozo who looks good. Decent record for Benfica.

Maybe not, but he is playing in the same league as the Nix's 7 AW's.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Stoch is an apt name is looks like a midget.
Also Sestak scored many of their goals in Qualifying. He has also scored pretty well in for Bochum in the Bundesliga.

The more I hear about Hamsik the more, the better a team I think Slovakia are.
"If he played in the Premier League he'd be built up as much as Cesc" quoted from Goal comments I know worst place to quote but I kind of think it's true.

Hamsik again inspires Napoli to beat Juve, I don't think we are looking at Slovakia as a good side. This is the team that, was one of the the main reasons that, kept the Czech Republic out of this World Cup.
Although they did get beat 40 by England and recently lost at home to Norway.

The Czechs are woeful right now. Not even a shadow of the team they were in the mid-2000s.
Slovakia hit a massive jackpot with the group they were in, they are a fairly pedestrian European side. I can think of at least 5 European teams that didn't qualify for this World Cup that would absolutely rape them. And quite a few more that would beat them as well. They are easily the worst European team in this World Cup. What that means for us, I guess we'll see.

Looking at the qualifying record and recent friendlies (most recently a 1 nil home loss to Norway), they dont appear to score especially freely. Hopefully, we can stay organised and hard to break down (which we are capable of) and as the pressure mounts on them to score (which it will bc they wll feel nothing less than a win against us is acceptable) we take the opportunities to exploit as they over-commit.
Of course, the other poss is we score from a free kick early on and then hold on for dear life!
