Is the tradition being re-written? I'm confused about what the rules are now and do the shirts come off if we are behind too?

Nah mate, think that was just so massive that it felt like a win.
I propose tomorrow to be national whirl day. Run around like idiots whirling a shirt (Or jersey) over your head. Everyone must run down the street doing this at some point during the day!

Australasia has scored quite a few goals. It's got a big squad so a bit of depth there.

I thinnk it's great.

I understand the tradition and rules of die hard fans (y'all must be balking at the Mexican waves, no one likes a crowd having fun!), but our fans are seen as way more fun than the other countries now. How many shots of Italian fans did we see at that game?
Kiwi suits, white shirts, wigs, flags, and whirling! Thanks to the YF, this tradition has galvanised our fans, and we have a rep for being great supporters now!

Unfortunately it has run out of the hands of the YF to be taken up by the common fan, so control and rules are lost.

My opinion tho...

Enjoyed the moment in the 39th minute when the Mexican wave went around the stadium, and you could clearly see the boys in white on half way stay seated.

To focused on the match, top stuff.

All Aboard the Phoenix/ All Whites Bandwagon!!

The "shirts off" thing has been picked up by the media all over the world. If you read the reports/MBMs etc. from various outlets (including The Guardian and New York Times) it's always getting a mention in there somewhere. It is now well, and truly, "ours" (even if it wasn't before)

I'm slightly disappointed!

Winning at 80 minutes = shirts off, special rules apply to games such as that I'm sure.
You know we belong together...

Marvellous.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The rules appear to have evolved:

For the Phoenix
- if we're winning.

For the AWs
- winning a qualifying game.
- winning or drawing at a Final tournament.

Sounds fair enough to me. It's about celebrating achievement.
