Come on you boys in white
Come on your boys in white
we'll sing and dance for ever and a day
You are the chosen few
you'll fight and never lose
for you are young are sure to have your way

la la la la la la

are some shout sheets being printed off to ensure people know what to shout out during the game?  Some things like "close them down" and "keep the width"

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Won't happen with us.  As of a few months ago I was reliably informed from Junior82 minimus that "Dora was for babies".

Still, catchy tune.

I am glad that I am not the only one who is embarrassed by these.  Do we really think that people could not pick up the words to "Ricki Herberts All White Army", or "Same old Bahrain, always cheating"?  Also, "Who are ya" or "We're playing all the football" or "Are you watching Paul Henry" aren't on the sheet - does that mean they cannot be sung?

This is New Zealand after all. Probably the only chants most people know are "Kiwis *clap clap clap* Kiwis" etc. Are you watching Paul Henry? That's brilliant.

It is not that is all people know, it is that is all people are prepared to join in with.  Having a song sheet will not get people who are not going to sing joining in, and those who are willing to join in will listen to a song the first time to hear the lyrics, and then join in the second.

Actually it's probably the only chant they know.

Most of the 35k won't have been to a Nix game or possibly any other football game. Most of the chanrs are simple, but still might be hard to pick up over the other side of the stadium from WN.

At nix games it's only the simple chants that the whole crowd in the 1/4 or 1/3 filled stadium pick up on. The others are done mostly by the FZ and a couple of aisles either side.

Yeah. When we were down there at the Nix game the chants were easy to pick up on (we were in the Fever Zone, though) but that's with previous knowledge of football chants (eg Can we play you every week?) and also being in an area which is all singing. I guess having a song book will only help if everybody around people start singing. Conformity and all that Psych jazz. However, at least they're trying to do something!

I hope the bahrain supporters dont bring there drums and musical instruments, cos that's a no-no at the ROF. They looked colorful in town today and brought a nice vibe. but they'll have to leave there instruments in there hotel rooms.

Against the song sheet. But hey it has been done, there are no do overs, so i can get over it. Still believe All Whites Clapclapclap will be almost the only chant, but will make a hell of a noise.

Wont matter after everyone hears the anthem, that is where we will make the noise. Everyone get behind it and sing it as loud as you can

I hope they will be allowed, its football after all. That said, the fact NZ supporters assumed we couldn't would suck.

I'm sure there were (small to be fair) instruments at the U-17 womens?

Yep, thought so, recall the african team in wgtn (Nigeria?) had particularly noisy backing from their fans :)

Doesn't matter. If the small Bahraini group want to bring drums etc we just have to chant and sing over the top of that.
