I fly up on Friday and I'm so bored.  Last day of work today.

Buying fishing gear tomorrow so that'll pass a bit of time.

What we used to do here before these play-off games.

1. Check your match ticket is readable and intact.
2. Check your flights (if needed) are correct
3. Spend heaps of time on soccer forums talking about the game
4. Search international media reports on the game (i.e. go to Bahrain media outlets for their take on the game)
5. Ring your mates that you are going to the game with and build it up
6. Check TV reports on the game, use pay-TV where you can
7. Review history of 'How did the team get to this point".

That should help you get through until Saturday.

Go to local strip club then during the week (say Thursday night).

Email local media outlets, ask "where have you been?" in relation to local coverage.

call local Talkback radio stations to 'discuss' game, tell them you ar emaking a special banner and see if the radio station gives you a prize.

Also (critical as well) SELECT A PUB TO GO TO NEAR THE STADIUM AND BE THERE 3 HOURS BEFOER KICK OFF. THIS WILL HELP YOU GET IN THE MOOD AND YOU CAN TALK TO OTHER SUPPORTERS AS WELL.

I'm sure you have mate, but yeah, I was using my experience from the play off games against Uruguay in 2001 and 2005 (and Iran 1997 as well). They're special days, that's the message I was trying to get across.

Yeah, I'm loving all the feelings involved in the lead up to the game. Man, I can't wait for Saturday though ! The Phoenix is great but the All Whites with a packed house is going to be intense, amazing atmosphere and the place will go nuts if we win.

Soak it up, there's few things like it. Even though Australia quaified in June, there's nothing like the raw emotion of what you guys are going through right now. Seeing what you guys are going through reminds me of previous games here.

It's not the worst thing in the world you know...

Yesterday work went fast plus there was indoor cricket to waste time.

Today work went a little slow and nothing to do now so its real slow.

tomorrow. work will be even slower and by Friday who knows. Even the pages on here seem to load slower :(

Kind of mild overcast, bits of blue sky so it could well turn into a brilliant day. No wind either for once.

To make my stress levels worse, my old man arrives tomorrow for the weekend. This to me is the start of the whole event but he got his flights late so has to be here for an extra day.
I can't handle this anymore. My work week is going to pot with a total lack of concerntration.

Its no longer a problem.
