Best Team Performance: New Zealand. Once again, the minnows from Down Under pop up and create a shock result. Nobody expected them to be anything but whipping boys in Group F, but after shocking Slovakia with a late draw, they claimed a point from world champions Italy as well. Going ahead through Shane Smeltz, they were unlucky to concede a penalty equaliser and then held firm with a terrific defensive display to keep the scores level.
