Anyone else find it weird that although Nike are our official suppliers, the only sportswear brand visible in thsi pic from nzfootball.co.nz is adidas? The ball couldn't be more obvious, but look at the (rather undersized) hoardings at the back. I can again see adidas amongst the sponsors, but Nike?
A taste of what's to come, given that apparently things between Nike and NZF are not exactly a bed of roses?

well this picture is taken at the u20 world cup, sponsored by fifa who supplied adidas equipment, therefor the balls will be adidas, the sponsors are all adidas ( the signage behind ) but each team has there individual sponsors. NZ was all in nike gear

Fair enough, but the point is that the only pic on their own website obscures the Nike logo and puts the adidas one right at the front. At the very least they've taken very little care in the choice of photo they've used. Nike won't be best pleased.

Adidas is the official sponsor of FIFA so they use Adidas kit where appropriate. The individual team kits are up to the individual nations.

Reebok don't make FIFA approved balls, Only Umbro, Mitre, Nike, Adidas and Lotto I think, although one would think with Adidas owning Reebok, that a change in balls is not far away for the HAL....

Whistles are ACME or Fox

Heard a rumour that Nike is no longer the sponsor and Lotto have tendered for the NZ team kits...
