Sweepstake: Aprils Saga

So we've had the Jones saga in February, the 'you're too late Russia' saga in March, anyone want to pick April's saga?

The prize: knowing you are one of the ill-informed fans that 'Big Undy' knows is out there.

My pick is an explosive interview with a former member of the competitions department telling us that Hudson has photos of Martin in his wife's Sunday best.

My vote is something to do with the camp in May, forgot to secure the facilities, accommodation, flights, etc.

That's not a bad shout Ryan. It scares me that we are thinking like that because it shows that there is a possibility it could happen

NZF bigwigs getting arrested by the FBI as part of the FIFA corruption investigation?

early april when the season is about to start NZF realises that the changes they made to goalnet without consulting any "stakeholders" is backfiring on them and there remains a massive number of players un-registered to play - faced with a massive pushback from clubs NZF decides to let clubs play players without being registered - then shambles commence.

are you the Stuff "journo" that wrote this non-story?

Guam didn't say they didn't want to play us they had just organised to play Chinese-Taipei before NZF contacted them

NZF were looking for someone to play and we all know they couldn't sort it out, not accepting the invitation from Russia was a story.

Contacting a FA who declined as they had just signed a contract to play someone else is not a story.

Odd how that "reputable" news entertainment site Stuff didn't put a name to who wrote the text

I reckon April's news will be someone finding out that NZF forgot to file the paper work for the Nix so legally they havent been a football club the whole time.

Just an organised group of friends who happen to all play football.

Maybe the scandal will be every person who is a user of this website being banned from participating in any form of football activity in NZ thanks to the "Martin out" banner

You are so right. Toe the line. Don't let the stakeholders suggest problems. Quote from WaiBOP federation yesterday.... some clubs have not enough players registered to field one team, let alone the number of teams they have entered!

I don't know what they thought was gonna  happen when they turned off the clubs ability to register players.

That, in 2016, players might actually be able to fill in an online form and, you know, take a little bit of responsibility for themselves.

not really the point - if the powers that be had actually told us this before late Jan we could have worked with that, to have this call made so late was stupid.

also if you are a clubhub club do you then expect players to register themselves in both systems and enter their data exactly both times?

Also i don't mind players having to register themselves - they have for years - but to not allow clubs to either a) re-register players from a clubhub point of view or b) register and adjust fee's for life members/coaches is silly - and to what end?
