I think everyone is going to want those extra seats in there. There's no point being spiteful and denying 4,000 people a great night out.

yea, I forgot to include an option for 'I have a ticket and don't think NZF should take the financial risk of adding extra seats'
If that is you, just vote in don't care. It can either be 'don't care either way' or 'don't care about people missing out'

Statistics can be used to prove anything Kent, forfteen percent of people know that

nice work

funny that i just thad a dream about us winning a PK shootout after 120 minutes

and the emotions got too high everyone had tears in their eye for happiness

anyway the thing is $25 for seats, I'm sure now punters who are still keen to go but missed out will pay a higher price to see history in the making since 82

Excatly. I think 80 could be charged for them, especially with all the hype and meda stories about a sell out. When people realise they are missing out to others they pay more. They are on the hallowed turf for Christs sake!

The extra seats should be there, but people should be charged extra for them, both to cover the extra cost, and cos they are closer to the action.

Maybe $50 a ticket?

It would be great if the crowd was brought nearer to the game - assuming the extra seats go into the unused part of the oval stadium; and as they will be 'ringside' seats, why shouldn't there be any extra premium be put on the ticket price?

I may have gotten the wrong end of the stick with regards to this issue, but hear me out.  It'll be $25 on NZ footy per extra seat put out right?  Why not offer 5000 seats (at, say, $60 a pop) and only put out exactly the number of seats that sell.  Surely there wouldn't be an issue there would there?

Maybe I've missed something.

pricing them higher has to be an option to be considered - even just an extra 5 or 10 bucks and as loyalgunner says, it may not be the case that you have to pay for all 5000 seats up front, rather just for those you need (that would reduce risk altogether)

'I have a ticket and don't think NZF should take the financial risk of adding extra seats'... this is my, unless possibly they charge the higher price as suggested.

But even then, I dont know if thats the right move . We sat in the extra seats during the last Lions tour. THey werent great seats .. were close to the pitch sure but didnt give a great perspective because they were so low. And they made the ground look crowded.

So no, I dont think there should be extra seats. THey wouldn't do it at WEmbley .. I'd rather preserve the atmosphere as is .. it will be electric.

The people who got in first have got the seats, simple as that.

I'm all for adding maybe $10 - $20 to the price of both adult and kids tickets for the added seating, and only using what is needed, he extra hype is well worth it.

The paper the other called it $25 per seat.

That's a profit even at $29, let alone $39 withut considering merchandise and other recompense.

Isn't anyone else concerned that if they do install the extra seating, they don't sell it out.

My mind is undecided, I feel sorry for thos who haven't got tickets yet. But seriously, perhaps a bit more faith in buying them before the Away match, I know I did!Michael2009-10-17 20:03:16

over 10000 tickets sold in a week.  With almost 1 month till the game, and NZ (Wellington especially) normally being a country of last minute purchasers i'm sure they would go.

I thought the same of the Beckham match.

beckham tickets were $100 a pop

these would sell easy. they have sold like crazy and far outsripped the speed of beckham sales. remeber there will be a week of wall to wall media hype and only a few thousand tickets to sell.

dont think its 1 idiot. there are alot of requests to have temp seating installed which the football union will investigate with the stadium officials. if it happens awesome it, if it doesnt we still have a full house. win win situation. the lads just have to do the job on the pitch.

What? The stadium sold out a month in advance. Those 4,000 tickets would be gone in one hour.

People could have had more faith in them but some people still would have mised out. Unforutuanetly there were only 34,500 tickets and more people then that wanted to go.

I don't se any problem with only installing seats that are bought, so no game day sales. Having said that, all 4000-5000 tickets would sell with ease IMO.

Yup! I reckon I could easily take 30 for myself and friends and family etc.

Remember they don't have to put up ALL the temp. seating either. If they only sell 2000 they only put 2000 up...
