I cant believe how much people are paying on trademe (around $100-150 a ticket), scalping really is sick.....even the people who are "going" and have one "spare" are selling for ludacris amounts - but they'll be sitting next to them hahahaha surely there would be some tension between both parties.
i really hope people who are genuine can get in and i hope that they allow more seats but i agree there must b e a limit on how many can be bought per customer, maybe 2.

Makes me sick. That they all try vainly to justify it by saying "start price is face value" and yet when you ask for a buy now at that price they wait for a bid to go in and say "oh, sorry, can't..." If they're making money from it, fine, but at least don't try and act innocent.
I'm hopeful of getting some on Friday though, will be attempting both online and instore at 9am on the dot (yes, I can be in two places at once) so fingers crossed.

Well i hope i get in quick, i didn't last time even though I was on the internet at 9am! Will most likely buy two if i can, and sell one to one of the guys on here at face value, definately not selling on TradeMe, if one of you guys manage to get a couple of tickets and one of them is spare, maybe you could consider doing this also?

They should set up a sales booth INSIDE the concourse at the Glory game and sell those tickets to real football fans(limit 2 each)

Coz you know whats going tohappen to those last 500? Every low life in the country will be online to Tickitek with their computer multidial systems coz they know that they can onsell them for $200+ and make a nice profit.
Offer them to football clubs so they can raffle them off at the club to put some money back into the football community.

Everyone has to attend their first game sometime. Common sense says that first game will generally be a major game, in order to get them along in the first place. Some will come back.
As has been discussed, there was such a long time for regular football goers to get their tickets. Even if there had been the equivalent of a fan club pre-sale for football regulars, those hat have missed out would still have missed out. Some people were just plan slack (including a couple of my friends) and some had circumstances that forced them to wait. That's life.
Either way, we can't be high and mighty and treat first-timers as unworthy attendees depriving others of a "rightful place" - how are we supposed to encourage crowd growth if we're going to treat first timers as seat stealers!

Cellphone to call ticketek, WiFi to try the web, while you line up at the office...
If you have two people trying, get one at the front of the line at Ticketek while the other goes for internet tx. Or 3+ trying on the internet.

1. Get to Ticketek office at 8:55am but don't queue up
2. Wait for first numpty to emerge from office with a ticket
3. Kick numpty in nuts
4. Grab ticket
5. Run away

To be honest, you've pot luck whichever way. I'd certainly phone at the same time as trying another method. It's tough getting through on the phone when a high demand event has just released tickets, but with only 500 tickets being available you may find there isn't such a large phone queue as normal. For the other method, it probably doesn't make much difference. Even the internet ticket offices can only grab available tickets. If you use the internet, be logged into your Ticketek account with plenty of time to spare and keep hitting refresh until the buy now appears. I usually only use the Ticketek office when I want to be picky about my ticket location - but I can recommend the guys at the New World Metro office at the station as being very helpful.

Ticketek is useless haha, you call them up and they ask you to ring back or go online , where you can't buy them anyway haha ... I have a ticket sorted (thankfully to some kind guy on here) , but I was going to buy a couple so I could sell them to a couple of people on here that might have missed out

We had two trying and I got the three we were after, but my friend didn't. Was on the phone to him at the time, and we both tried at the same time, it's just luck as to when you refresh and if they allocate you any. I think there were far fewer people trying this time, though, since there was no session countdown timer (they use one when it gets too busy), so hopefully there'll be some floating around for people who missed out.
Two people I was buying for haven't confirmed they're coming, if they don't I'll post here & you can PM me. Might take a day or two to confirm.

Just got back from town. Have an exam this afternoon but was up at 7.30am, at the Ticketek store at 8.15am. 18th in line, knew I was screwed - BUT ONLY THREE PEOPLE in store got tickets.
(On a tragic note the guy behind me in the line said that he was just there to buy tickets to sell on at a profit - actually had to restrain myself from hitting him.)
Had my flatmate online trying to get some, nothing either.
IF ANYONE HAS TWO SPARE TICKETS PLEASE SELL THEM TO ME?

Well I finally got through to Ticketek and I mentioned I was online at 9am, hit Buy Now and nothing ... he then told me they did sell out that quickly and I asked How? And he said a lot of people had tickets on dibs, they had seats on hold ... How the f**k does that happen? Ticketek has a lot to answer for ... I'm waiting for all the new ticket auctions on TradeMe with tickets bought today, all with no Buy Now, and the trader saying they 'can't make it anymore'

I was logd into ticketek and was constantly refreshn for a gd 5 mins b4 9am
as soon as buy now appeared i clicked and went afta 2 tickets, but culdn't get em.
